Anyone Notice the "Sorry for the Inconvenience" Message on DCL Website?

My 90 day mark is coming up Sunday, so I decided to have a look around the DCL website today to familiarize myself with everything so I could book my Palo's ressie come Sunday. When I went to log in I got a message that said that guests on Oct 29th and later saillings may have problems scheduling their ressies. Has anyone else heard about this? Does anyone know why this box is popping up and how long it's going to take to fix any glitches? We're leaving for a trip at 9am Sunday and I was going to get up early and book everything. I'm going to be mad if I'm not able to make my ressies-I paid off my cruise early in order to do this. Anyone have any news? :confused3

The message is new. I have been trying since yesterday (my 90 day mark) to make my Palo ressies. I had not yet seen the message. I have even tried the email route (as suggested by one thread). Called the tech support number too. Nothing they can do. Some software bug they are trying to fix. Can't tell when it will be up and running. Just need to keep trying. Kind of stinks for those of us hoping to benifit from being a repeat cruiser.

I've seen it off and on the past several months. It usually goes away in a short time (minutes to a couple hours).

Eleven tries in the last month - have not yet got on??? Anyone else with this problem?

I got the message both this a.m. and p.m. I find it unacceptable to simply say "sorry for the inconvenience and keep trying" when I have paid them my $$ in advance for the privilege of doing this.

Can you call to make your reservations?

I've copied and pasted what appears in the message box that pops up:

SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE!

Guests sailing October 29, 2005 or later may have difficulty accessing some of the functions on this section of the site. We expect to resolve the situation shortly and apologize for any inconvenience.

Please note: Dining reservations at Palo, reservations for spa treatments, and registration for nursery and youth activities are not available by phone.

I may have to make a call to my TA so she can get to the bottom of this. Her agency is the largest booker of DCL and they have supervisors at DCL they can contact if there is a problem. If the problem is at their end, they should have a back-up plan for people to be able to book their ressies, like an email address or phone number.

Yes, you most definitely can call to do it..

Where do you call? I tried both the DCL number and the web tech support and an email and all 3 places said sorry we are all having software problems and can't book, please keep checking back.

It means that the system is busy (overloaded). Try again and you will probably get through.
There must be alot of people approching the 90 days at the same time.

This is correct based on what I have been told. You can only book shore excursions by phone with DCL once you reach the 90-day or 75-day mark. The exception to this is those folks with concierge level cabins or those who have booked the REAS package - they are able to make Palo and Spa reservations by phone prior to sailing. The rest of us are left with the DCL website or the ressie rush on embarkation day.

Sorry to hear about all the problems - the DCL on-line booking function is great when it works. Good luck with everything!

I have been trying since Monday and finally today the system is up and running. If you get a busy message, that does not mean your request did not go through. I made brunch ressies and then went back to decide on dinner and got the system busy message. Then I went back to try again and it said all ressies were booked, I backed all the way out and then when I came back in, my request for dinner had taken even though they said to try back later.

Good Luck!
