Anyone notice any slowing down at all in Hogsmeade now that Diagon Alley has opened?

My family and I are going to Universal Florida for our first time ever this December, so Hogsmeade will be new to us. I'm sincerely hoping the original Hogsmeade area crowds grow just a bit slower each morning with everyone rushing to the new Diagon Alley section.

Any truth to this theory? Are my hopes in vain?

I think both areas will remain busy due to the Hogwarts Express going in between both areas. There's a constant stream of guests hitting both areas.

Queuing times for Hogsmeade rides have been averaging about 40/50 mins according to the wait times apps. And those times are at the height of summer so I'd say yes it's a little quieter but I can imagine the times will be even shorter in December depending what dates you are there (Christmas week is always manic)

I was there the past three days and it was crazy busy. People are constantly riding the Hogwarts Express back and forth, so both areas stay busy. Forbidden Journey kept around an hour wait each time we were over there ( except for early in the morning because everyone is in DA).

I hope you are talking about early Dec because if you are talking around Xmas- forgetaboutit, it will be nuts everywhere. I am a travel nurse who will be
here until at least Oct so I am local for now with an AP. I went over late today and Diagon Alley was a walk in and the Hogmead Express (amazing attraction)
was a short wait both ways. Hogmead more crowded than Diagon Alley to me but Griggotts was closed for any new Muggles for the evening
so that may have affected the crowds. The wait time for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was only 30minutes and Olivanders was even a short line.
The new area is awesome with so many areas to explore. I will get on the Griggotts eventually but what the folks who are only limited time, this will not make them happy. I got the feeling it was closed off to accommodate people
already in line so they could get them thru and on the ride before or a
little after closing because people were exiting the ride exit in
intervals that suggested the ride was still going and getting their items from the lockers next to the ride. Anyone know if they could or would do this?
I mean it makes sense if the lines are already 3+ hours long at 730pm.

that would make sense maybe they are actually trying to fix the ride too in small intervals
