My Big Fat Greek Wedding??
Seen it over the weekend, along with Sweet Home Alabama and thought they were both okay...

<font color=navy>Rented both over the weekend, & liked Alabama more than Greek Wedding - but they were both enjoyable. :)

I wouldn't rave over either of them.

I haven't seen either one of them but I really want to see both.

Rented Sweet Home Alabama last night....I thought it was "okay"....nothing really great...I expected alot better.

Haven't seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding yet. My sister bought it and watched it 4 times already!! She said it was the best!

My friend rented it and said it was just "okay"....

I saw Big Fat Greek Wedding this weekend and I thought it was cute, but not as good as all the hype.

I'll watch the show tonight though.

didn't care for MBFGW..I was expecting soooo much more from it with all the hype it got!

I was REALLY disappointed at Greek Wedding. I saw it last month, after all the hype. I think I will like it better if I see it before the reviews. I just don't understand what the big deal was.

I thought it was just so-so. The same joke over and over again. And now the TV show. How long can you stretch the same joke?

DH liked MBFGW, he laughed throughout the entire thing. I thought is was good, better than most that come out now days.

Sweet Home Alabama I absolutly loved! I cried like a baby from the time she was in the Coon Hound Graveyard until the end! I loved it, but then again I'm such a big romantic at heart. I can't even bring myself to watch the alternate ending because I can't see her with anyone but the guy from the SOuth!

I just rented MBFGW but haven't watched it yet. I was going to watch it tonight, but remembered that Joe Millionaire, the Aftermath, was on, so watched that instead. I have the movie till Thursday...but American Idol is tomorrow night and Wednesday...how will I fit it all in?

I haven't seen either one. Both my brother and his dw loved MBFGW and they loved it. That means I'll probably only think it's ok.;)

Thank Goodness I'm not alone!!!!! I didn't find this LOL funny. A couple funny parts was all. I thought the show tonight was funnier in 1/2 hour than the 1-1/2 hour movie.

Hope to see Sweet Home Alabama soon.

We saw it at the movie theater and we LOAO!!

We bought the DVD and watched it again 2 weeks ago and still laughed but not as hard. My SIL thought is was ok.

The movie we REALLY liked so far this year and thought was MUCH funnier was "Bridget Jones' Diary".

Now THAT's a funny movie!!! Bought that DVD too!

MBFGW gets a 3 out of 5 on my scale. A little too predictable for me.

SHA a 4 but I'm partial to Reese:)

Been doing the thru the mail Netflix thing. Really like it!

I saw the coming atractions and both looked awful and needless to say i wont see either!!!!

Same here. I mean it was nice & all, but it wouldn't bother me if I never saw it again.

saw MBFGW this weekend. laughed some.
cried just as much. not as special as I thought.
character actors were good.
B-

I love MBFGW. I've seen it twice already! :teeth:

Also loved Sweet Home Alabama. :)

I just watched MBFGW this weekend. I guess I was expecting a LOT more. It was cute but that's about it.

I thought it was an excellent independent film. Cute and funny. But with the hype, I think people are expecting too much. It's a nice film, but not a blockbuster.

Did anyone catch the series last night? I was disappointed in it (I really wanted to like it). And was it me or did Nia look "different" than in the movie (can't put my finger on it).

I saw Greek wedding on the plane coming home from Vegas over the holidays ... my kids and I loved it. I come from a large family and really can relate to all the quirky humor!!

My daughter (17) and I rented Alabama this weekend (we're big RW fans) ... very disappointed after all the hype ... almost turned it off 1/2 way through as we just weren't making the connection. Even after watching it all the way through, I wouldn't even be tempted to see it again.
