Let me start off by saying I love Disney resturants and have never had a bad experience except at CRT. For the most part, I find Disney servers to be top class and the food is good. But......

We've been to CRT twice now, once in Dec 06 and again just last week. Anyone else NOT like it?

Last year, the server was rude, dinner was rushed, and the Fairy Godmother was almost mean. I passed it off as server was having a bad day, it was dinner and FG was tired, etc.

We went back again just last week, for breakfast this time, and again, same stuff all over again. The princesses were nice and friendly, but the server practically threw our food at us, when we asked for more OJ she acted as if we'd asked her to close the whole MK park just for us, and when I asked her very nicely to explain why we'd been charged for an extra meal (I know it's a 2 TS place, we were chared for 7 meals, when it should've been 6) she sighed so loudly that the table next to us stopped to stare. How embarrasing!

I have ADRs for January for breakfast right after Mackenzie's BBB appt and I'm dreading it. The kids like it, which is why we're going back, but my dh and I sure aren't looking forward to it.

Let me know what your experiences have been at CRT. Do I just have bad luck there? :confused3

Thanks for letting me vent!

We were just there for dinner last week. Our server was friendly, but she never checked back to ask how our food was. It was very strange. We also felt very rushed -- it was crowded and servers were running all around. I don't know.....we liked the food okay, but it was just not as magical as I expected. It was our first time and maybe our expectations were too high.

It wasn't good for us at all.

and we DDP'ed my DD, but my mom and I paid OOP and it was almost 80 bucks for 2 people. Ridiculous.

We did Akershus after my DD's BBB appointment and were happy with it.

We waited almost an hour after our CRT ressie to be seated....finally when our big girls were in line for their picture with Cinderella, we took our younger ones upstairs since they were overly hungry and cranky at this point...the hostess and our waiter were obviously annoyed that our party wasn't together...but with a 9:45 ressie, we were already pushing our luck with a late breakfast and now it had been dragged out a whole other hour...my son was ready to eat Cinderella's shoe at that point...

the service was just so-so, the character interaction was rushed, I'm not overly impressed with the decor in there (looks like it could use an update to me...) I dunno....if you're gonna charge THOSE kind of prices for some chewy bacon and eggs...it better be pretty magical!!

Obviously its just THE meal to do with a little girl, so we will probably give it another shot next year...but try an early lunch and see if that helps with the timing issues...

We weren't thrilled.

The character interaction was great, and didn't seem rushed to us...but the food was just nasty (some sort of puffed pastry with junk inside and berry stuff all over it, runny scrambled eggs, and potato something or other~I actually ended up snagging a few french toast sticks from my ds!) and the meal did seem rushed.

My 6 year old dd...who's entire life revolves around Cinderella, much preferred the Cinderella meal at the Grand Floridian.

We went this past summer and we were not too thrilled with it either. We paid OOP for this one, so we really weren't thrilled.

The room is cheesy and what's with those cheap swords and plastic stars they give the kids. Couldn't they come up with a better gift :confused3

The best part was getting into the park before it opened.

Now we can say that we ate at the Castle, but we will never be guest of Cinderella's again.

Also, IMO, I think Cinderella should be upstair circulating too. What kind of hostess never comes and checks on her guests :lmao: :lmao: We are guests in her home afterall, aren't we?

We had almost exactly the same experience last October (FG was having a better day!) DH and DS really didn't like the food either. There is no way I would ever get DH back there. It's such a pretty location (I guess I like it cheesey!!) I had hoped to do a breakfast, but maybe not!! Actually the thing I thought was going to make the soda come out of DH's nose was when the server kept calling him "my lord" or something to that effect.

We have been to both CRT abd CGF at GF. We prefer Cinderella's Gala at the Grand Floridian. We had the BEST character interaction there, far surpassing any of the other character meals. We are going back again this year. I can't wait to see the stepmother and stepsisters!!

We went to CRT last year and my dd had a blast! We had breakfast, which we thought was really good. I loved the stuff french toast (but I asked them to not put the blueberries on it.)

The princesses and FG were all very sweet and I liked absolutely everything about being in the castle. We had little to no wait, and it was a really good experience.

It is mighty expensive though. I will say that much.

Gosh, we went two weeks ago and LOVED it! Granted, it was free dining. I'm sure that it changed your perspective when you are shelling out big bucks. We didn't wait long. The princesses could not have been sweeter to my daughter. The wand may seem cheap to us, but my daughter carried it around ALL day.

Our server was very nice. It was all a little rushed, but I preferred that to being long and drawn out. My dd thought it was all simply magical, and that made it all worth the extra dining credit.

I agree did not enjoy it there.

We went a few years ago for dinner and while the experience of eating in the castle for a regular DL goer was very cool, but the food and service was not that good. The food was forgetable, service wasn't good and back then not the character interaction there is today. I feel like I did it once, without taking a small child I would not do it again.

We went several years ago. Would never do it again. At that time my DSs were both under three and DD was 7. She liked it okay but I know she felt like the princesses barely acknowledged her. DH and I were not impressed. When DS2 wanted more fruit and we asked for it, the server was VERY rude. I offered to pay for it happily but she wouldn't do that (at the time breakfast was family style and under three did not pay.) Then it took her a really long time to bring it. We also had wanted more of something else, don't remember what, and she never brought that. Never got more OJ either. The FG was actually the best part of the whole deal and at that time she was down in the lobby.

Overall a very disappointing and in many trips since we never had any desire to go back.

We were just there on Monday for breakfast, and we had a great time. DGD age 3 got lots of princess time; our server was very attentive. We mentioned to him that Snow White "missed" DGD (she was busy with Aurora when Snow White came by) he went right over to SW and told her and she came directly over to our table. He visited our table often, and came back with a gift card (refund) when he realized that we had been charged for our little "prince", who is only a year old. I would never have noticed.
We enjoyed our food; there was a nice variety and it all tasted fresh. Our little girl really enjoyed her wand and star, and Cinderella smoothed DGD's hair and fixed her dress prior to the photo, which came out great.
We thought it was worth every penny. And we weren't on the DDP.

I've been for lunch and dinner and wasn't impressed with the food either time...just went because our nieces
wanted to go but would never go again with just DW and myself.
