We will be spending the day at MGM. I have easter baskets for the girls to give them the Friday before but we have no plans for special meals or anything like that. Is anyone else not doing anything special?

LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Isn't being at DW special enough for Easter??

Not only will I NOT be at Disney for Easter let's see......We will go to mass on Saturday to avoid the Easter Sunday crowds so Easter morning my kids will wake up, be all excited about their baskets for all of 3 minutes before they dive into candy for that "breakfast of champions", DH and I will but chugging coffee as we know we will need the caffeine to keep up with the kids when they start bouncing off the walls from all that sugar.

Come lunch time we will be famished from chasing the kids and picking up candy wrappers from all corners of the house, we will probably eat something quick and lame like hot dogs and chips. After lunch DH and I will settle into the butt grooves of our TV chairs and watch something boring that we previously recorded on DVR. At some point we will call our relatives and hear what a wonderful get together they are having with the family and who brought what food to the get-together (its always something yummy that makes me drool). My DH will then fire up the grill so we can have our special dinner for the holiday (probably steak) and I will make pizza for the girls. After dinner we will have some computer time, maybe read books to the girls and go to bed. Pretty boring day... :bored:

I think being at Disney for Easter is special enough. Don't knock yourself out worrying you need to do anything more.....OK ....maybe buy yourself a "special" drink at the pool bar if you really need to do something "special"....a couple of those and you will forget that it is even Easter :rotfl: :rotfl:

I agree being at Disney is special! My day sounds like the above poster but will have to go to church Sunday morning and grilling sounds good ...unless it snows.

When we were at Disney 2 yrs ago the did have a special pin sold only on Easter that might be somrthing special to look for with your girls.

I'll be doing something sort of special... PACKING! We leave for WDW 4 days later (Delta and God willing :rotfl2: ) DD was born on Good Friday 4 years ago, so her birthday is sometimes around Easter, not so much this year. Last year we hosted both families for dinner/birthday cake. This year we are acting as hotel to very good friends who have family in the area but don't want to stay with them. We aren't making dinner for anyone, not even ourselves as I don't really want tons of food/dishes that week! We'll grill something and relax and I will lock myself in the guest room and finish packing! (I say that as though I have already started! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: )

Let's hope this year is more uneventful than last year when DH fed the leg of lamb bone to the dog and she ended up at the vet's on IV antibiotics for a week! That cost us as much as our airfare to MCO will!

Funny thing, I didn't even realize we would be there on Easter when I booked the trip!! I guess waking up on Easter Morning at Disney is special!

I am going to be in Disney for Easter too but I made dinner plans at Bomas for that night. I am going to pack their Easter gifts in a bag and get a basket or something to put it in while at WDW. I am taking them to the Neverland club the night before Easter so I can do some laundry and get their Easter Baskets together. I am also planning on using those plastic eggs to hid Disney Dollars in for them to hunt in the room on Easter Morning.

Well DD's birthday is the weekend after Easter so I decided we would just do it on Easter Sunday since we normally have a little BBQ anyway. But it seems that most of those who were invited have made other plans so it will mostly just be us and the grandparents which is plenty enough for her because she IS NOT a people person. We are having a Minnie Mouse party!!! Oh and the girls will get to hunt eggs as well..

We'll be at WDW for Easter too...we're getting in Saturday night, so Sunday will be our first full day. We're going to spend the day at either AK or Epcot (I can't make up my mind about which would be best). Since we don't know where we're going to be, I haven't made an ADR or anything. Maybe Sunday morning, once we make a decision, I'll call Disney Dining and see if it's even possible to get in anywhere. We're prepared to eat counter service though. :thumbsup2

Every day I get to spend with my DH and Kids is special enough for me. Wether we are on vacation or sitting home.
