Anyone Nervous about Phone lines Thurs?

Oh man, it seems like so many of DISer's are going to be calling WDW tomorrow bright and early. Anyone else nervous about so many people calling? I'm nervous that

1. The CM's are going to be so annoyed that they are receiving so many calls at 7am that they will be in bad moods and unhelpful

2. Disney is planning on so many calls coming in so they have secretly moved the start date of general public free dining

3. I will be on hold for 2 hours and late for work

4. There won't be any rooms left for my week!

I have to tell you, these boards are really making me go nuts. I woke up yesterday in almost a panic attack because I thought it was Thursday. My chest was tight and I was breathing heavy...not good!!

It will be crazy but WDW has gone thru this before and will know what to expect. I imagine they will have planned it accordingly and have extra CM's working. I don't think they will have secretly changed anything - that's not like Disney...

Expect a long wait on the phone and if you don't have to wait too long it will be a bonus!

But yes I have butterflies too!!!!

Yes! Very Nervous! I will be getting up early to get everything ready for my DD for school, Breakfast, Lunch, Clothes, Etc. My Mama will be taking her to school if I have not booked by the time we need to leave. I'm also scared that there will not be any rooms left. I'll be so glad when tomorrow morning is over.

I've just about decided I don't need the stress. We're pretty flexible on dates. I just need a value room to save money. So, I think I'm going to just wait until late morning/early afternoon to call.

Yup -- I'm feeling the disboard jitters.

There's no way I'm going to be able to call tomorrow. I'll be at work when the lines open and tomorrow night I am going to be in a panic about leaving for LA for a week and a half Friday morning. Haven't packed, cleaned, nothin'...

Friday I'll be on the plane -- Saturday and Sunday at DL, then I'm filming all next week with the time difference working against me.

Breathe, Denise, breathe! It's ok, though. I don't think I'll save that much by switching since we're booked at a moderate under the 40% off already. And last year I didn't book until quite a while after the promotion was announced, so I think I'll be ok.

I'll be ok, right?

I've decided to call Friday night while we have "Family Fun Night". We'll be watching Peter Pan and rolling all of our coins. I figure if it's meant to be and we are able to get the plan then great; if not I'll book later for October.

Won't we be able to just book it online? Thats how I have booked previous trips when they offered the free dining. It seems because of the smaller travel window, there is a greater demand but I am hoping to do it online.

It's really funny, because the rational side of me (the side I use to give advice to others) says "of course she'll be alright! there will be plenty of rooms left next week, the promo goes until June!" But then the irrational side of me (the one I listen to for myself) says: "I'm calling first thing tomorrow and waiting lest I miss out on the deal and be very angry."

Oy..I think I need to start using my rational side for myself. There is going to plenty of space for all of us.

I was able to call on Monday, here are a few things to remember.


1) call at 6:58 est give yourself time to answer there questions
2) use two phone lines
3) on one phone line answer one of the questions that you HAVE stayed more than 4 times since 2000 something, on second line cell phone etc, then answer you HAVE NOT stayed more than 4 times since 2000 something
4) use 1-800-828-0228..
5) dont hang up, your call is in the order that you called, if you hang up you will go to back end of the line
P.S. i called at 7:00am est and my total wait time and talking with the CM was 30 mins, soem people were on hold for over a hr, hang in there and dont hang up.

I Called on Monday because I'm a Disney Visa Card Holder
and talked to a CM and felt sorry for her,
she was very nice and patient with me even though
she had just gotten cursed out by the caller before me.
So, Please be nice to the CM (can you put yourself in their place).

Deep breaths everyone- deep breaths. Who am I to talk? I will be on the phone tomorrow morning at 6:50am, lol- two phone lines also- one cell phone and the house phone. Kind of like getting through to vote for american idol.

will you have to know the code when you call first thing in the morning or will the CM be able to do it for you? Or is there even a code? My mom is planning on trying to book a trip during the free dining and she is completely new at this kinda thing.

Anyways, I'm really not worried at all. Last year there were so many rooms still left vacant that Disney ended up extending the Free Dining Offer. Once they closed the offer they ended up offering discounts on rooms. Everyone take a deep breath....everything will be just fine! My husband and I didn't book last year's free dining until the end of May/beginning of June. My parents didn't book until the middle of June.

How true that is. If 100 people call on two lines that is an additional 100 people in the quene,200 total instead of 100.

Of course the quene number drops once the person hangs up the extra line.

Hopefully the booking online will be up and running so it would be easier to book.

At least your not as bad as me!! i woke up this morning thinking it was thursday and called right when they opened! oh well i guess i can chalk it up to practice for tommorrow! I've been waiting for thursday for so long im going crazy!!!!

Well, I was lucky enough to be able to already book... I will tell you this... your #1, and #3 on your ("nervous" for Thursday list) will probably happen... BUT don't fret... there will be room for you and your dates (I have a feeling) Your #1 : I DID have a nasty CM and I didn't do anything but book my trip, she didn't have to check other dates or other hotels, I took the first one she said.
Your #3, I was on hold for almost 2 hours actually to be exact 1hour and 50 minutes till they picked up I called right at 7am... Call alittle before like around 6:45 am I saw alot of people did that...
