Anyone need just a wee bit of points?

I have 7 points to rent. They expire September 30, 2005. They have been banked so they are not transferable. $10 per point would be great - but I'm willing to take $9. I just can't stand it that they might not get used! Barrie

I am just curious, were you able to do anything with the 7 points? I have 5 banked points left that expire 9/30/05 so I am in worse shape than you! I am not sure what I'll be able to do with them but I hate for them to be wasted.

last year I had about 30 left over in sept. gave 27 to a disney cast member who was staying on property after three huricanes took off their roof, etc. and the rest just expired. Before Ive always been negative, same thing again this year, I have about 130 left over, and not planning to go back by sept. Maybe you can add your points together and get someone a night?

I think that what I am going to do is book a room for my mother or sister, who live near Tampa, using my 7 points and a few of my next year points - for a weekend getaway. There isn't anyway to sell them to anyone else because they don't equal enough for one night anywhere.

If someone wanted just one night who was a DVC member, couldn't they actually transfer points to you and have you make a one night ressie? Just a thought...

I got an offer from another poster. He bought my 5 banked points for a cheap price and then I borrowed 6 from next year and he paid for them and used them for one of his reservations. I made the ressie and he cancelled his and linked it to his existing ressie. It was some work on his part but he gets his points back and got mine for a somewhat reduced rate. To me it was worth it to not have to hassle with trying to find a member to transfer to me, etc. I used the banked points and borrowed a few from next year and have alittle money to use when we do go to Disney.....
