Anyone Missing Mickey, the Loud One?

I haven't been back to the Magic Kingdom since February 2018 and I know they have stopped the Talking Mickey at Town Square since but I haven't really seen anyone commenting on it. Is anyone missing it? I know my son will miss it when we go back soon. I figured I would have seen some chatter from some people who weren't aware is was being discontinued but I haven't seen anything. Seems like it went just the way Disney wanted it to go!

My daughter was 8 last time we went and she didn't like talking Mickey at all. She's very glad talking Mickey is gone.
But now that you mention it, I haven't really read much about him being gone

Our kids LOVED talking Mickey! They are going to be so disappointed. This is the first I heard of this. When did he go mute? Why?

The beginning of May 2018 he got silenced! I think they said the operating costs were too high so that was just another cut!

Somehow I never got to see talking Mickey. It seemed like such a cool idea and a big move forward for the characters.

It really was cool how he made people feel special. I saw a group of ladies from Japan and he spoke a few words to them in their language and they really lit up! He interacted with my son about the Mickey and the Roadster Racers shirt my son had on. It just was really a cool experience for children and adults alike! I'm not 100% sure how the technology worked but they CMs did it well!

I have read a few other threads here on the DIS about this. Yes, I liked talking Mickey.
