Anyone made it through (or not made it through) ROFR recently? - Section II

We sent in our paperwork and down payment check yesterday and we've received word that the sellers have already signed their paperwork as well...so it'll be submitted for ROFR soon...here's to hoping everything passes in a timely fashion!!

That is a heck of a mistake!!! I am so sorry to hear this. You'll find a better contract. I'm sure of it!

Add us to the ROFR wait - AKV 200 points, June UY with all 2007 points and 200 points coming 6/1/08 at $95 per point. We thought about trying for $93 a point and hoping for the best - but in the end we just want this SO BAD the $400 savings was not worth the risk of not getting through, so hopefully this will work out for us!

That would be us...certainly hope it passes, though I am getting the impression I should not hold my breath! The sellers were asking $90...perhaps we should have offered more?? We're trying to think positive...$90/pt plus all 2007 points would be stellar should it go through!

i really did want that contract, but i am sure the reason for rofr was my own fault. i put in a very low contract price, but i did not know what the going prices were at this time.

this thread is extremely helpful. i am going to try again but it may happen to me again and if so i will just keep trying. i really do want to add on at vwl and eventually i will hit the right formula. i have 95 pts. at vwl and need a few more to get the right res at the 11 mo. window.

That would be us...certainly hope it passes, though I am getting the impression I should not hold my breath! The sellers were asking $90...perhaps we should have offered more?? We're trying to think positive...$90/pt plus all 2007 points would be stellar should it go through!

Just for the record, WE ARE NOT SELLING AKL CONTRACT TO DISNEYLAURIE....(bit of a misundrstanding I think)

We seem to be BUYING an AKV contract for exact No of points, exact price, exact Use Year and exact No of 'banked' points as Disneylaurie ??Coincidence or not??
I'm quite worried about this -may need some advice.Hope it goes OK for us both and we're not both being 'hoodwinked'!!!

I am looking at the SSR Listings on the status schedule, and I can't see any rhyme or reason for some passing and some being ROFR'd. There is only one on the ROFR'd list that is an outlying price and it is the $77/pt. Throw that one out and all the ROFR's prices have also been passed on. I know the conditions of the sale impact the decision, but even considering this I don't see any pattern. I wonder if some contracts receive preferential treatment? ie GMAC being the official reseller for Disney and independent resellers being exercised at a greater percentage? Whatcha think?

Never heard of GMAC (but I'm from Eire!).You make a good point however. Wouldn't it be 'interesting' if we were permited to add the name of the 're-sale' Co we use for our prospective purchases? that way we might be able to 'guage' whether or not theres some 'favouritism' going on by Disney as you suggest????

We can start tracking it if everyone wants as long as it is reported. If we do track it, it will be all resale companies. What does everyone think?
