Hi Donald, I posted last night that my OKW 50 pt contract passed. I think I'm still on the ROFR waiting list here, though. We submitted our contract on 3/21 and passed on 4/1. Not bad, huh!

I am surprised how fast the first part of the process has been. We made an offer and signed the contract on Monday. The next day it was sent to Disney! Now comes the long agonizing wait for ROFR. By the way, the contract is BCV, 210 points, April use year with all of 2008 and 2009 points.

Hi- Our resale contract (50pts at VB) was submitted to Disney on 3/14 and we still haven't heard back!!! We've seen how everyone has heard in about 10 days...and now we're approaching 3 weeks. Even our broker said that it was a bit long.

Does anyone think this is an indication that Disney will excercise their right to buy?

We are still waiting too! Our broker said that it didn't mean anything when we called yesterday. For us it will be 3 weeks on Monday ( we had thought it was 3 weeks tomorrow!, but the seller was slow with the contract). That is also after the first contract fell thru 2 1/2 weeks into ROFR. I am really sick of waiting!!!! I guess we will hear nothing today. Maybe tomorrow or monday.

I'm a little late adding this to this thread (we were submitted for ROFR on 3/24), but we are waiting for ROFR for 180 pts BCV (April), $91/point, 122 '08 points, buyer pays closing and MF. Our first trip home won't be until Summer '09 so we are not in a huge hurry - but it will be nice to say we are DVC'ers! We paid rack rates to stay at the BC villas in 2006 and 2007, and that's pretty pricey.

Since I've learned so much from lurking on this thread, I thought it only fair to "pay it forward" for the next DVC buyer!

Going through ROFR (submitted on 4/3) on 150 pts BWV (AUG), $84/point, 80 pts on 8/1/08 and all 150 pts on 8/1/09....

ETA: I originally purchased SSR (while at WDW on vacation last week) with all the incentives, but after reading thorough these threads and seeing the "purchase where you will be the most happy" advice, I resended the contract and looked for resales at my second favorite resort (BCV is/was my first choice, but will be just as happy with BWV!). Would not have known to do this without you all, so thanks again!

We were working with Carolyn, but apparently Rachel (another GMAC broker) got the info and didn't tell Carolyn about it, merely placing a note in our hardcopy file. Carolyn kept checking online and not seeing anything about passing. Well, when she realized how long it had been (despite us asking a bunch about it), she looking in the hardcopy file and found the note!
Regardless, we are happy!
