Anyone look into TravelLite and decide against it?

Just wondering if anyone had looked throughly at the exclusions and small print and decided they didn't want it (and why)? It looks like I can get coverage for about 1/3 of DCL insurance cost but I'm always concerned about the "get what you pay for" rule. However, with no flight involved, I'm looking for insurance that covers the basics, don't mind if its light on baggage/airline costs or even trip interuption. Thanks.

Nope, looked at it and purchased it for my January 2005 cruise.

I purchased the Travelite for our cruise in August. Hopefully, we won't need it! I pray for just :sunny: days ahead!

I have only heard good things about travelite! We bought it for our sept. cruise. Have a great trip! :sunny:

I bought it for our Sept 03, Sept 04 (changed to March 05) and loved it. I had to file a claim for medical expenses...son got an ear and eye infection and we had to see the ship doctor. Requested the claims form online several days after we got back sent all of the paperwork and rec'd a check about 2 weeks later :)

Would use them again!

We just bought this policy for our upcoming September cruise. All in all I thought it was a decent policy and price for primary coverage.

We just used it for a medical claim too and were reimbursed easily after filling out all the paperwork.

I purchased trip insurance from Travelite for my up coming 8/20 repo cruise.

I used the insuremytrip.com web site to find them and on comparing to all the other companies this was the best in cost and coverage.

i'm so glad, cuz i bought that too, for our upcoming (august) cruise. hopefully, i won't need to use it! :flower:

Question for all of you who purchased travelite. We purchased it too online through insuremytrip.com. However, we didn't get a policy or any documentation through the mail. Is this something that is strictly handled online? Just seems weird that we don't have anything in writing for the policy.

Thanks if you can help~ :flower:

i received all correspondence from them via email...i could print out the confirmation and the policy number...they recommend you bring all the insurance documentation with you as well

I also got the confirmation of coverage and certificate number through email as well. I have this number written down as their customer service number - 888-322-6776. :sunny:

Thank you both for your replies. I will contact them to make sure everything is in order.
