Anyone Live Near Moneta, Virginia?

My mom and stepdad just moved to Moneta this past weekend and we were wanting to go up there this weekend and suprise them,but we have no idea where there is to stay up there.we could stay with them but dont want to impose on them.the have my stepdads father staying with them also.so if you live near could someone please suggest a place to stay.

Looking at my map.... Moneta is east of Roanoke, Virginia. It is near Smith Mountain Lake.

I lived about an hour north of Roanoke, and have been to Smith Mountain Lake. It's nice -- I think they have cabins along the lake if you want to stay there.

Luvindisneyworld, I thought Moneta, Va sounded familiar. It's where one of my favorite movies, "What About Bob?" was filmed!

It looks really quaint and scenic. I just loved what I saw in the movie so much that I looked into vacationing there some time ago. I have so many bookmarks that aren't organized. I did a quick search and couldn't find any! I do remember they have some nice bed & breakfast inns.

I'll try to hunt something up for you later today.

Thank you so much,AnneMarie.i looked through them and called and the only place that had availibility for both nights was the Lake Inn.i am kinda worried about it from the way it looks in the picture but have no other choice.so i made my ressie there.Thanks so much.I cannot wait to suprise my Mom.
