anyone listening?

Disney Stores are for sale.....................and their downfall is due to the likes of Wal-Mart and Target.

>>Shows like "Lizzie", "Even Stevens", "Kim Possible" and "Dave the Barbarian" have huge adult viewership levels.<<

That is flat out incorrect.

I work with the media research division at my corporation, and we've actually reviewed the overnights (Neilsens) on Disney Channel shows. In the so-called "tween" cohort they are inarguably strong, but they start to drop dramatically in cohorts above 20 and are in essence "unwatched" by adult heads of households.

On a different tangent, a stockholder is now DIRECTLY asking Eisner what is going on with the Disney Stores. The answer is pretty much the party line - "we'll sell them to the right buyer."

He just said the Disney Stores are for sale, but not all.

I am sure Buffett sold ALL his Disney stock years ago, right before it's downturn.
CNBC reported others are stating guestimates at 42% against.

Listen to him tap dance around the theme parks question.

Disgusting.

He didn't completely answer the question about what will happen if the stores don't find a buyer.:(

Which is where they are licensing all the "good" merchandise too.

Did he just say 3500 phomes rang because of the Tower of Terror float???

Hope ME enjoyed his last world tour of the Disney Theme Parks ;).

He totally tried to avoid the Theme park question. Gee I wonder why?

He didn't even let her finish her question about the Theme Parks. He cut her off before she even finished talking.

I hope ME has to PAY for his next entrance into one of the parks!

Oh, brother, another gadfly from the floor whining about how ABC news is covering the "middle east"....

I don't think that was her question! He is a master at spin though. I think it was a "have you been there lately....they STINK!"

Interesting that he regards going to the parks "one of the perks" of his job rather than as a responsibility as CEO & a member of the Board.

Sure he goes into a Disney park -- once a guest dies from maintenance neglect.
He even saw PhilaharMAGIC in DL, remember? ;)

Wouldn't it suck if they cut off the webcast just as they were about to announce the results of the vote :jester:.

Gee, Ei$ner enjoys his Theme Park perks as Chairman/CEO.

I wonder how much time he'll spend in the parks when he has to attend them as we mere mortals do.

Zurg and I left at 2pm after 4 hours.....It definately is emptying out...the place was less then 1/4 full when we left...
