Er....no. DVD's use the same old resolution as old tv...they're digital and better in quality, but they don't by default reach 1080i resolution.

For those that are sleeping, in regards to Pirates, Iger said they will be making action figures and other merchandise opportunities ( a little late) and they are developing a live-action television show based on the movie.
