Anyone link 2 single stroller together?

My girls are 5 and 6 and I need a stroller for Disney (swaps are unfortunately full for our dates). I am thinking of buying 2 volo's and a stroller connecter so sometimes we could link them. Has anyone done this? It would be cheaper than buying a double and then I could get some money back selling them when we got home. Any experience with either connecting strollers or volo's would be great. It says the weight limit is 55#, but I am wondering if my kids legs would be comfy enough? They are both less than 44".... TIA!

I connected cheap umbrellas together when my kids were little for the few times I needed a double stroller (not at Disney). It was hard to push and steer and wouldn't be my choice for Disney.

With a five and six year old, unless your kids are unusual, I'd bring ONE stroller and have one walk and one ride. They will likely be fine sharing a stroller.

We had two volos for our trip and I brought the connectors with us. DH and I just pushed one stroller for most of the trip. I thought we would need the connectors if we split up to let older DD ride the "big" rides, but we really never split up. (Just used rider switch and waited a few minutes).

We connected them maybe once or twice for just a few minutes. I found it very difficult to push/steer. DH thought it wasn't horrible, but would never push them around a park for the day like that. Maybe if you were pushing them straight on flat ground it would work fine, but trying to navigate around people/objects and onto/off sidewalks was a real pain.
