I respond to some threads that i enjoy getting the subscription update in my e-mail, but there are some that i just don't care to get 50 updates in my account.

Is there any way to reply to threads and not always get subscriptions.

I don't want to get rid of ALL my subscription priviledges, i just don't want particular ones.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you subscribing to ALL of the threads that you respond to? Or do you not want to receive an email for every response you get on particular threads? When I subscribe to threads, I do instant email notification. But, I see there's a daily and a weekly notification as well. I've never used those, but that might help you out.

ETA: You don't have to subscribe to all threads that you respond to.

If you go into your user info, then go into subscriptions. You can delete any from the list that you don't want notification for.

...OR click on the "Thread Tools" drop down menu in the top right and chose to unsubscribe to thread.

You can subscribe to threads the same way without having to post.
