Anyone know when SWA will extended their dates of travel to ..

the end of December. I am trying to get a flight for 12/20 - 12/28 leaving Manchester, NH. I look everyday this is so frustrating I really want to get this part of the planning over with so I can relax and just do our itinerary, try to get a better on-site resort rate, do PS etc. You know all the fun stuff we do every day on these boards.

Thanks for the ear I know I'm whining.

we are in the same situation. We are going dec 20-29 and waiting for southwest to come out with the fares. I got the hotel but no airfare to get there.

I'm WICKED antsy... We are going November 30th through December 16th... Therefore my departure date is open, but not my return!!! What happens if they sell out my departure date at the lowest rate? I'll be SOOO upset....

Me, too! Planning to go 12/15 - 12/22 and I can hardly stand seeing all these great summer rates come and go. I have been so tempted to chage my dates, but I really want the week before Christmas. Hanging in there.....

I have tickets on hold and I don't know what to do. I found a flight out of BWI that comes to $646 for 4. That's 161.50 per ticket after all charges. I would jump on it in a heartbeat if it was out of National or Dulles, but if I'm going to BWI, I know the Southwest fares will be lower. Then again, will I be able to get one of them? Another downside is that this flight arrives at 11p.m., a little later than I wanted. I don't know whether to jump on this or be patient. It's my return date so close to Christmas that concerns me.

What would you do?

What carrier was this rate on? It is a good price.... One thing, if I recall, SWA doesn't discount the fares just prior to Christmas... You may fall in that category... I'm not so sure SWA would offer this for less or not.... The other thing, you've got the option to buy it now at 161, but it could go really UP too.... I don't know, I don't think I'd risk it at this point..... I wouldn't worry about the latenight arrival... Our next two trips (Sept & Dec) will both have latenight arrivals.. I'm sure all will work fine.... Good Luck!!

This was US Air. My gut instinct is telling me to do it, but my travel agent friend is telling me to be patient. He said that December fares will go down as soon as school starts up again and summer travel is over. He said he will keep an eye on the flight and if it starts filling up he'll let me know. The only reason I'm going to hold off is that I really want to fly out of National. My dh works nearby and we can leave our car in his parking garage and take the subway or a cab over.
