Anyone know what the new Resort Mugs will look like?

Just curious of what they are going to look like this year? Anyone seen the new ones yet?

I just saw a picture somewhere (Allears?) and they are pretty generic. I was shocked to find out that each resort doesn't have its own any more. The mugs make great souvies, and I loved having AKL mugs, and Poly mugs, and ASSp mugs, etc.

We didn't get mugs at Boardwalk tho. They were seriously lacking in resort merchandise of any kind!

My guess is they will be the same designs which were sold during 2007, with the only difference being that they will now say 2008.

I hope they aren't the YOAMD mugs but I bet they are. The only good thing is that we didn't get any last March and my POR mugs are running out. I use them on a daily basis for work and they eventually start to leak out of the lid. I'm on my last one .So this time I need to get more. I like the YOAMD mugs but perfer the POR mugs instead. I find the blue ones look like x-mas all year round.

I am wondering too we have 2 of the 2007 YOMD ones and was a little disappointed that they didn't have resort specific mugs. I am wondering if they are different for 2008 I'll get them anyway even if they are the same as the 07 mugs but it would be nice to have different ones

I've been disappointed as well that there are no resort specific mugs anymore. I am surprised at your comment about the BW though - I've always been able to find resort merchandise of some sort at the shops on the BW. And I got my mugs at the BW Bakery.

I'm also curious as to what the mugs will look like for 2008. Hope someone who will be there next week will let us know!

If anyone wants a Resort specific mug then the place to stay is at Coronado Springs. They are the only WDW Resort to not sell the YOAMD mugs because the food service area's are not owned by WDW. So they are only selling the Coronado Springs logo mugs.

i think the 2007 mugs were great.A lot of UK guests enjoy 2 week stays at 2 resorts,and although I know it is technically not allowed we do spend thousands of dollars at disney.

I am here now at All Star Movies - the mugs right this minute have the same design on them but no year at all. I even had my husband look at them to confirm that is what I was seeing.

They were not very big. They hold 16 ozs. Refills are free on any drink at the beverage station at your resort. Cokes Coffee and hot choc. You only pay one time when you purchase the mug.

The $12.95 is for unlimited refills for the duration of your stay. I was going to post a pic of the size of the mug but apparantely I can't do that yet

During my stay at the WL in early Dec. I noticed that several people were using the old WL mugs. I even saw some of the larger ones being used. They also now have Minute Maid Light lemonade instead of the regular.

I like the YOAMD mugs much better than the resort mugs. We tend to eat at various resort food courts during our stays, and this makes it much more practical. We don't have to pay for a drink with each meal.

Split stays are easier this way also. Why purchase a mug twice in one week?
I'd like to thank the person who came up with this idea.

I agree, it does make more sense if you are going to be in more than one resort during your stay. (And yes, I know that you aren't supposed to use mugs from one resort in another...).

Actually, the mugs are $12.49 each...at least the mugs being sold at the Mara at AKL.

One funny thing about the Mara, the signs there state that the mugs are only good for refills AT the Mara only.

POR says this to but that did not keep people from using mugs from POP, All Stars, or wherever. We saw people using them from years ago and nothing was said.
