Anyone know what "Special Reservations" are?

Hello!

There was a mix up w/ our reservation at the Yacht Club, so we received a number to call if we'd like a future stay for "special reservations" at the Yacht or Beach club. Has anyone ever booked a deluxe stay using special reservations? Does this include concierge? I asked them and they said it was that we'd have special treatment during our stay, but I don't know exactly what that entails. Since we'd much rather stay at AKL or the Grand Floridian or the Boardwalk (or even the Swan or Dolphin) I don't want to use them unless it something really worthwhile, like an upgrade to concierge or something. Otherwise, I'd be disappointed to not have stayed at one of our favorites, though I don't want to miss out on the special reservations if it truly is something great. Anyone done this? Thanks so much for info!!!! :) ::yes:: :bounce:

It's the same as the Executive Reservations department at the GF. Even if you don't stay Concierge, the department does Itinerary Planning for you, takes care of special requests, especially room requests. We used this service at GF when we used to stay there. It's nice to have a great shot at getting the exact room you want and you're getting concierge services for free (minus the lounge usage). We always stay concierge so it wasn't that big of a deal, but if you don't stay concierge, you'll love not having to make your own priority seatings, tee times, etc. It also usually involved a fruit basket on arrival, wine, etc.
