Just wondering if anyone has used one with any success and no side-effects. I am a big stress eater and before I know it I've eaten a ton of stuff. Various things going on around here and I take it out on food. I have started back at Curves so I hope that will help - but I need help with food when I am home.

Do you go to curves in the morning? If it's early enough, dont eat before you go and then have breakfast when you get home.

Also, water is a great appetite suppressant...drink a bottles worth and then get busy doing somethign else.

I've lost it.

First thing I thought of was putting pet... um... *stuff* on your plate. :eek:

LOL! That will do it!

I tried buying some Herbal Life off a nurse I work with who is a distributor, it's called Total Control and is ephedra free.

Does it work?

A little, but not for that long a time.

I don't think there is anything available over the counter that really works, IMHO. If there is, please, clue me in!

Water and high fiber foods are the only completely safe appetite suppressants. Of course, behaviors that help you eat less will help, too, like eating small meals more often and getting rid of stress.

A cup of green tea works for me, usually about 20 min. later the craving passes.

I'm trying to cut out carbs as much as possible and sugar. I've lost 5 lbs. Now to not yo-yo it back on.

For sweets I have sugar free jello cups. They come in all different flavors. Then I go ummmm, just like ice cream when I'm eating it to crack up the kids.

My mantra is "one day at a time, just one day at a time......."

::yes::

I just did a paper on this subject....water and high fiber foods are your best bet. Moderation and exercise should keep you healthy though :teeth: Don't be trying any of those pills that claim to suppress your appetite--there are some serious risks with them.
