We are having connecting flights from Newcastle to Gatwick then onto Orlando, then thing is our tickets say the LATEST CHECK IN newcastle 350am for a flight 650, we land at 815, and the LATEST CHECK IN for Orlando 815, and our flight is 1115

Does this mean the latest we can check in is 815. All flights are booked through Virgin, and was hoping that we have time to get off one plane, collect luggage and be able to check in on time.

You may get your london to orlando boarding cards at check-in in Newcastle and your luggage may also be checked in all the way through to orlando. Coming home you will defo have to reclaim your luggage at london to go through customs. When we go from manchester to chicargo we get our chicargo - orlando boarding cards at manchester but have to relaim our luggage in chicargo to go through imigration but on our return the luggage goes straight through from orlando to manchester. Your best checking with virgin. Hope this makes sense, Maria

Yes I agree, you should be fine because your flights are booked through the same carrier - you will almost certainly be checked right through ie given all your boarding cards at Newcastle, so no need to check in again at LGW. There is a difference with your baggage as Maria says - it normally goes through without you having to collect it where there is no customs issue ie both flights originating in the UK, but on the way back you will have to recheck it.

Might just be worth giving Virgin a call to check.

So will skip the online check in.

Hopefully we check in at newcastle for the gatwcik leg, if not i will try the internet at Newcastle, as we will be there early and check in then.
