In addition to the heavy curtains? The lack of sheers is the only thing I dislike about BLT.

Sheers would be really nice....I haven't heard anything though. Maybe they will add them when they refurb the rooms....how many more years until the refurb, do you thing?

I would love sheers at BLT too. Maybe if Members send emails, they could be added someday.
Last trip, a manager asked how I liked my room & I said I loved it except for the lack of sheer curtains. She said she would pass the info along.

I wonder how much adding them would cost and who would pay? Maybe Disney has to pay, that's why they haven't added them. If DVC owners have to pay they would already have been installed.

That "pass on" must be a fun game for them.

Wasn't there a member question during the 1st annual member meeting after BLT opened asking about the sheers, and a DvC management asked BLT manager responded with a "I haven't heard that"...to witch there was a huge groan from the DVC Members...

We saw an amorous couple in their theme park view room engaging in adult recreation during our May trip. I reported it and once again requested sheers.

I also have sent an email about the sheers at BLT.

Also that it would be nice to have full length mirrors in the studios - which did get added when they redid the bathroom sinks.

I'd like to have heard the call to that room.

Theme park views are on the outside of the "C", how could you see in their room? From the bridge? I really think some people want to be heard or seen.

It was my theme park view studio that prompted the email to DVC about sheers (in addition to a couple other items). I wasn't exactly fond of either letting everyone crossing the bridge look in or keeping the dark curtains closed so I was in a cave.

Walking from our car in the back of the parking lot towards the lobby. :) It was like a train wreck! DH said sheers likely wouldn't have made a difference. Heh.

Welp, I didn't know this was a thing. I assumed if you were high enough off the ground that nobody could see clearly. I guess wearing thick-as-bottles glasses has distorted my perception of normal people's vision.

This is going to be me, and I welcome whatever poor CM has to come politely knock at my door.

E: On that note, this post got me thinking. How soundproofed are the walls between rooms in BLT? I need to know for...reasons...

It's easy to see into the bottom few floors if you're towards the back of the parking lot.... but if they are right up against the window, it's pretty noticeable :rolleyes1 The worst are rooms next to the bridge, below and above it. Anyone walking the the bridge can see all the way to the door.

Pretty sound proof. We hear mostly sounds from outside.

I read good reviews on the external soundproofing; good to know it's the same between rooms as well. The walkway is on the 5th floor, right? I asked for as high as possible, so here's hoping my wish is granted.

This thread made me laugh as well. Little concerns - who knew?

The first time we had a MK view, I took my daughter shopping to the other monorail resorts while my husband stayed in the room with our other daughter. Coming back on the monorail, I could clearly see my husband pouring a drink in the kitchen. I closed the curtains after that because I thought it was kind of creepy to think of all the people on the monorail that might be looking in. Sheers would be a wonderful addition.

That's the one thing I didn't like about BLT. We kept our curtains closed most of the time because while sitting on the porch we could see people in their rooms. I felt like we were in the movie Rear Window!
