Anyone know if any restaurants allow you to bring your own wine?

I know some restaurants do for a corking fee, but don't know about Disney. For our 10th anniversary, I thought I might bring something special from home.

1) Some eateries allow your own wine.
2) The corkage fee is $15-$40, depending upon the restaurant.
3) Better call ahead, as some do not allow this, espcially INSIDE the parks.

I didn't think any of the restaurants would inside the park. I was thinking of Citricos, Narcoossee's, or The Yachtsman. Either way, a cork fee is still a lot cheaper for the wine I'd be bringing than what we could get it for there. Stuff I have would go for $100+/bottle in a store, let alone at a restaurant. It'll just suck packing it in the luggage because God forbid you carry on something over 3 oz.

call ahead. Disney leaves the decision to the individual restaurant which means changes in some positions within the restaurant may change policy. A couple of years ago one writer carried a couple of bottles into CG but management refused to serve them.

At one time Narcoosees had no corkage fee and V&A charged $25/bottle.

I called and got the phone #'s for Citricos, Narcoossee's, and The Yachtsman...I'll see what they say shortly.

Please let us know what you hear...a good bottle of wine is SOO expensive at Disney!

While doing some more searching here, one suggestion was to check Wine Spectator magazine. Citricos and the Yachtsman were both listed for $20, but Narcoossee's wasn't listed online.

The stuff I'd plan on bringing would probably cost $150/bottle at a restaurant, so I'll bring my own for sure. The big inconvenience though is getting it there as I had intended to leave straight from the park to dinner and now we'll have to run back to AKV to our room and then out. Of course, after being at the parks since 9am, it may just be a good idea to head back to the room to freshen up a bit anyway before going out for our signature dining meals.

I'm not sure if they'd let you bring the wine into the parks, but if they did, you could always put the bottle in a locker.

Typical weather the first week of May is in the mid-80's, so I'd rather not have it "baking" in a locker all day long. That said, it'll be warm enough that it'll be good to jump in the pool for a bit and clean up for another venture out in the evening.

Please post what is found out about taking own wine/corkage fees. My husband and I always have our own "celebratory" wines for our anniversary and would love to know if I can bring them.

Citricos called me back...$20 corking fee. She thinks that's pretty standard for all of the properties.

All 3 (Narcoossee's, Citricos, and The Yachtsman) all have a $20 corking fee. One said that if we ordered a bottle off the menu, they'd waive it. Thus, maybe if we see a bottle for $40 that wouldn't be too bad, might as well get get another bottle and get loaded. :rotfl:

Thaks so much for the info! I have a box that I can pack 3 bottles into that fits in my suitcase and then will have room for souviners and other items when coming back!

You didn't happen to contact Artist Point did you? That is the restaurant we are at for our anniversary.

Thanks!

I only contacted the 3 signature restaurants that we're going to, but one of the people I talked to indicated it's pretty much the case for all Disney restaurants.
