My 4 y/o DS got a hold of a pen & scribbled on the computer screen. (Did I mention we just got this for Christmas & have only made 3 payments on it?) :furious:

So does anyone know how to get pen off a computer screen? I tried Windex but that didn't work. Not sure what is safe to use on the screen.

Try rubbing alcohol.

White out! :rotfl2:

If alcohol dosn't work try finger nail polish remover (toluene). But only if the screen is glass! If it's plastic you'll meeeelllltttttttt iiittttt!

Lap top, LCD flat panel, or CRT?

LCD Flat Panel.

Rubbing alcohol? Nail polish remover? Really?

LCD - Isopropyl (rubbing) Alcohol. Be gentle (no hard scrubbing). Work in small areas. Saturate a q-tip or other swab and work in a 1" x 1" area. Repeat as needed. Do not soak the screen area in alcohol, just wet the swab. Otherwise use a soft cotton rag with alcohol rubbing GENTLY. be careful with the rag as it is extremely flamible!

You could also try using a baby wipe. It got black crayon off of my dd4 tv screen with little scrubbing effort. :teeth:

 The rag is extremely flammable if I'm rubbing it (gently) on the computer screen? Geez....I might be better off just leaving the scribble on the screen! I'll probably burn my house down!

 Oh....sorry! I took it the other way! Okay...well, I think I'll let my DH handle it anyway! My luck I'll start cleaning around the burners on the stove (while I'm making dinner) with that same cloth!

yeah put the hubby to work :rotfl2: that is always a good idea

This thread reminded me of the old joke:

How do you know a blonde (or Auburn fan, for those of you in the South) has been using the computer?

White-out on the screen!
