Anyone know anything about items marked Made in Occupied Japan?

We are sorting through boxes as we bring them into our new home. I found a box of trinkets and basically junk that I had packed away years ago. One item in the box is what looks like a cognat set, marked Made in Occupied Japan. A friend gave the set to us years ago.,....and not being cognat drinkers I packed it away.
Has anyone heard of this ( I am assumming it was during the war years).....Is there any value to this set?

My mother would be green with envy. Made in OJ can be worth a lot depending on the condition and the number of items made. What you have sounds like it could be worth a lot if the set is in good condition. Several years ago you use to could find the pieces pretty easy but I haven't seen many lately.
