A friend has this to sale from an estate. It is porcelain and about 12 inches. I can't find anything else like it doing a search. Anyone know anything about this? I am not sure what a good price is.

If it is a music box, then it is part of a 2 peice set with Princess Minnie (sold seperately). When we purchased ours, they came with a stand and a key for the music box, which is inserted into their back. The key is shaped like the mickey sillouette. They do show up on Ebay occasionally, but some of the sellers are starting way too high, time after time, and they don't sell. I have seen a couple of new in the box ones sell, but i can't remember how much. I think that you might be lucky in the $50 range, but without the stand or box, you might be less. The only problem is that they don't seem to garner a lot of interest, so if you start an auction too low, there might be only one bidder and it sells at a low price, if you are lucky to get a couple of people bidding, it could sell pretty well. It is luck of the draw. I haven't been to any of the Disneyana collectors shows, but you might draw more consistent interest at something like that. Please let me know if you have any specific questions, I can check the box or dolls at home.

I don't think it is a music box??? I was told it is just a doll, Mickey Mouse as the Brave Little Tailor.

The quick give away would be to check his back. If this is the music box, there will be a hole for the key to be inserted. I have not seen a doll only version, but this looks just like the music box version that we have.

Thanks! That would also explain why I may not be able to find it by searching for a "Doll"! I am sure if it is a music box then they don't have a key for it. She wants $45 for it so I am just trying to figure out if that is a good price.

$45 might be a little high for just the "doll" without the packaging, stand or key, but....... If it is something you are interested in, and depending on availability/pricing in the other avenues (Ebay, etc.), it would be up to you to decide if $45 is too much.
