Are you talking about photopass? A Disney photographer will take your pic in the park (like on main street, w/characters, etc) and give you a card -- for all subsequent pics w/Disney photographer you hand him the same card and all your pics are linked. You can then buy individual photos or a CD ($99 ish) of all pics that gives you the right to order prints from your local print shop (ie: Walmart, etc) at home. If you want to buy the CD, it behooves you to get a photopass pic at every opportunity.
I believe you can purchase photos or the CD up to 30 days (after your first pic?) online when you get home. You need the card and the special # on the card. That's what I know about it -- just enough to be dangerous. Try the search function and see if you get any more info -- there are a lot of threads on it.
we bought the photo movie after our trip in may, takes a while to receive but is just a great keepsake. take time to review what you make. somehow a couple areas in movie were not what i thought i had made. still love it.
