Anyone know about the Platinum Package?

Hi everyone! I was playing around on Disney's website and I found this package called the "Platinum Package" but for some reason it doesn't show up when trying to book online... has anyone here ever used this package before? Approximately how much was it? There are no prices and I'm trying to figure prices for a *dream* honeyoom!

Platinum package can absolutely be booked online. It can only be booked at Deluxe level resorts - no exceptions.

It is EXPENSIVE. I priced a 7 night vacation for two at the Grand Floridian with 'MYW+Dining' package with Park Hopping and WaterPark Fun & More. that came out to around 5379$.

The SAME package on the Platinum Plan which includes unlimited recreation (golf, water vehicles etc), unlimited tours (like Keys to the Kingdom, Segway Tour at Epcot etc) and table service for all three meals each day and a free snack per person / per day, 40 hours of childcare a week, VIP Fantasmic! seating and free Cirque Du Soliel tickets.

You'd better make plenty of use of all those included items and love it to death tho.. it adds about $265+ per person per day OVER the MYW+Dining package quoted above. Grand total cost for the same package above on the platinum plan for 7 nights : $9112.

That is the top-of-the-line Disney vacation package. It's gone by many names over the years. My family has used it twice at the Grand Floridian. Once with a concierge room in the Main Building and another time with a two-bedroom suite in the Conch Key Lodge Building. Both times my family (and our guests) had an incredible time. We enjoyed private tennis lessons, private golf lessons, horseback riding, fishing excursions, the Luau, the Hoop-Dee-Doo, Victoria & Albert's, Private Dining, watercraft rentals, fireworks cruises, and a bunch of other things. Those vacations were jam-packed with adventure & dining. Really wonderful. It was Disney at its best. If you choose to do that vacation package for your honeymoon, make sure you understand it fully so that you can take advantage of it.

Again, congrats on your upcoming honeymoon. I've been married for 22 years and still am waiting for my honeymoon.

Wow! Big difference, I guess I'd better make sure I use everything they give you in the package... otherwise its a waste - I'm not sure I'd want to run around trying to make sure I get my money's worth, but thanks for the tip! I wasn't sure why I couldn't get it when I was trying to book SSR, I guess I can only see prices for the higher up ones!

Dis'ers have booked it at the DVC resorts. I remember reading about someone who booked it with a two-bedroom villa at the BoardWalk Villas. If my memory hasn't failed me completely, they had access to the concierge lounge at the BoardWalk Inn during their vacation.

Looking for some great night time fun? Live it up at the spellbinding Cirque du Soleil® Show, La Nouba™. It's a must-see for anyone who wants a truly dazzling evening of spectacular entertainment.

One admission per person. Reservations required and may be made up to 180 days in advance. Performances on Tuesday - Saturday at 6 pm and 9 pm. Unlimited Admission to Select Disney Children's Activity Centers and In-Room Private Child Care

My guess is you couldn't see it with a SSR reservation because there is no concierge service at that resort. Most of the other DVC resorts have sister resorts with concierge lounges and thus they can be booked with those particular DVC resorts.

But I bet if you really wanted to stay at the SSR (which is my favorite DVC resort, by the way), something could be worked out. It certainly never hurts to ask.

You were both right, since the DVC locations listed are all "part" of a delux resort. I'd be willing to bet money AK Lodge Villas will be listed on there as well. I know Jeffrey is the Platinum Planner for the Poly, WL, and Villas at the WL, and Amy does the Epcot resort area. I don't know who the other 2 platinum planners are however.
