Anyone know about Silver Lake Resort?

Hi - Just wondering if anybody out there has stayed here or knows what it is like? Booked for a week in May and am a little nervous because there hasn't been much talk about it lately. Any info or advice would be very much appreciated!

Hi, yes we stayed there last March through a timeshare exchange. Units were quite comfortable, we had no complaints. Great pool, lots of daily activities, movie theater, found the desk staff to be a bit cold, but that's not why we go to orlando, right!!Great Pizza at the pool bar! We had a two bedroom unit for me, DH and DS. Way too large for just us. Front security friendly. We would have no problem exchanging there again. Our daughter and family did the timeshare deal, staying at Silver Lake but having to do a 90 minute promotion tour. She said no pressure, nice salesperson so all was well there also.

We stayed there in 2000. Very clean. A bit cold with their decorations, lots of white paint, glass, and mirrors. Everything was in good shape. Beds were ROCK hard. Bring a pad if you like it softer.

We were there in Dec on an RCI exchange. DO NOT get put in the units that back to Sherberth Road. We had one and we may as well have been sleeping IN the road. Even with all the windows closed you could hear the traffic on the road whizzing by. Plus there is contruction opposite the resort and we could hear them start up each morning.

Thank you all so much for your input!!!! I'm feeling much better about staying here. Each time we go to Orlando we wind up staying somewhere new (wherever the deals are). Of course, that means I get real nervous that the next place won't be as decent as the last. But...nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
