I will be staying at the Ramada Plaza & Gateway btwn 5/3-5/10. I'm wondering if anyone knows how it is. I actually work for Ramada so I get very nice discounted rate. However with that rate we our only entitled to stay in the Gateway part of the property, though we did reserve for a poolview. Has anyone stayed at this location before...if so is it CLEAN, because no discount is worth an unclean enviroment. Also, how is the staff, resturants, and the property in general.

:) 40 days left to arrival, but I'm not counting ;)

Thanks for any help

I'm going there in about 20 days. My husband's a Ramada employee in New Jersey. Although there are about three Ramada hotels in the vicinity, we chose the Plaza Hotel and Gateway because it is a "gold key" resort. I posted the same message as you when I made my reservation and got one reply that it was clean and that the guests enjoyed there stay there. That made me feel good about it of course. We are staying in the "inn" part with a courtside view. They have two pools, one heated shaped like Mickey Mouse and refrigerators in all the rooms. I understand from the person who posted a reply that it used to be a Hilton property originally. It is about one mile from World Drive too. Contact me after April 23 and I'll let you know how it went. Have fun on your trip! :D

Thanks for letting me know. I will definitly be looking for you when you get back. Have a great trip!!!

We stayed at this Ramada about 2 years ago. Although it was not what I would call sparkling clean, it wasn't too bad either. We weren't too happy with it at first because we found large black spots on the floor in the bathroom and some sticky spots on the chairs. I called housekeeping and someone came within about 10 minutes. She said the spots in the bathroom were stains from some work that had been done recently, that the stains could not be cleaned off, and that they were in the process of re-doing the tile in all the bathrooms that had been damaged. She also wiped down the chairs for us. These were the only problems we had. We were only there for a couple days and did not use the pool or eat at the restaurant. We had a deluxe room which was poolside, had queen beds and a frig. The pool area was pretty with lots of shrubbery and trees and the room was fairly large and comfortable. One thing I really liked was that the vanity area was completely partitioned from the rest of the room so that we had privacy when we were getting dressed. It also had a nice big countertop. Hope this helps - let me know if you have any other questions. :)

thanks for your insight. Like I mentioned before I work for Ramada...so if I'm not satisfied I can play that card, so to speak. I had to do that once before at a Ramada on the outskirts of Miami, they put me in a room that had stains on the walls and the a/c didn't work, not to mention the bedspreads and carpeting were digusting. It was literlly the worst hotel I have ever been in. Well looking for the soda machine I felt like I was in a horror movie, when no matter which way off the corridor you go it seems like it's never going to end...I actually started running in fear. I know none of the above has to do with the orginal question, but I always feel as if I need to let everyone know. Thanks again for your insights.
