anyone know a WDW vacation contest winner?

So many companies offer a trip to Orlando/WDW as the grand prize for their contests, but I have never known or heard of anyone winning.
Just curious if any of you have won or know someone who has won this as a contest prize.

I know quite a few people who have won trips to WDW but then I belong to a group where people enter sweepstakes as a hobby so they work at it. I keep entering knowing sooner or later Lady Luck will be on my side. So far the only trip I've won is a week in France

While I was in Orlando, I met a woman in the hotel (offsite) laundry room who won her trip off the Orlando info website. She got her airfare, accomadations and tickets to a few off property destinations. My mom also won a 2 night trip to Orlando with airfare and hotel and she gave it to my dh and I in 2001.

i know someone who won a disney cruise.

i keep trying to win those trips to disney, but as of yet haven't succeeded.

A woman I used to work with won a contest from a local radio station. It was all expenses paid 5 days 4 nights at the GF, park passes, and airfare. She said it was her son's dream vacation. Her DS was 8 at the time. The pictures were wonderful.

Actually after I buy my raffle ticket (need to do that this afternoon) I will have a 1/6,000 chance of winning a trip for 4. In my area they are raffling off a "dream house" and one of the other prizes is a WDW trip (of course I would really rather win the house but if I can't have it the trip would be nice). The tickets are $100 and they are only selling a max of 6,000 so I figure those are probably the best odds I will get to win a house or a trip, etc. Plus it is for a good cause (Children's Hospital).

Yes - A friend of mine won a 4 or 5 day trip to WDW on the radio. They stayed at the Beach Club. I was soooo jealous!

I just started doing the internet contests too...there are sooo many sights and sooo many contests! So far I've only won a diamond necklace and a cordless mouse and keyboard from Logitech!

One of my very best friends won a trip to WDW through an internet contest. She stayed at Coronado Springs.

My husband is Potowatomi Indian and their reservation is in Wisconsin. A few years ago, they built a casino and lodge there and all tribal members submitted names for the different restaurants, lounges, etc. All of the names of the tribal members who had their names chosen for the rooms had their names put in a hat and drawn to win an all expense paid trip for 4 to WDW. I think they drew 4 names... and my sister in law won. She took her brother (my brother in law) and his daughter. She didn't have a 4th person, so they gave her something else in leiu of the 4th plane ticket and park ticket.

She won airfare, 4 nights at the CBR for 4 with UMPs for the corresponding days, and a free lunch at Planet Hollywood.

My DH, DD and I met them down there. They seemed to have a great time... we didn't really hang out with them too much, though.

That's why I used the smilie! Really I was trying to win a bathrobe. It was an online sweepstakes from Oil of Olay and they were giving away 5 trips to France and 100 bathrobes. I didn't want to win the trip and who really believes they will -- but the bathrobe would have been a nice gift for my teen daughter. I was shocked when I got paperwork saying I won. I'm still working on a trip to WDW though (and a trip to a NASCAR race would be really nice too!!)

my brother 10 yrs ago won and all expense paid trip to DW. They stayed at the Holiday Inn Suites, Main Gate (I think that is the name of it) well his new bride then of 2 yrs. was never been there, so in they go and see hated it, what a waste of a trip, guess that might be on of the reasons she is his EX. LOL

I did!! In 1999, I won a contest sponsored by our local phone company. It was a Disney 7-day land/sea vacation for 4 including airfare, hotel, park tickets, transfers, and cruise!! We went in August 1999, stayed at the WDW Dolphin for 4 days and then sailed on the Magic for 3 days. It was my first trip to WDW. I took my DD& (at the time) and my sister and her DS10.

That free trip cost me a fortune!! We've been back to WDW 7 times, have been on 4 DCL cruises, and I am now a DVC member as of a year ago!
