Anyone keeping up with the Casey Anthony case?

has anyone else been keeping up with this case?

I do on WS....apparantly *Prosecutors also filed a new motion asking the judge for a private closed-door meeting without the defense attorneys. Prosecutors say they have new material and information from investigators regarding the case that they don’t want to go be disclosed to the public.*

I think the majority opinion on WS is that Dominic C has spoken to LE and (I think) the trial has been moved to 2011 - a 15 month window, which WS'ers are saying that is an appropriate time for a new attny for Casey to get up to speed.

If it is Casey--you would think the defense would request an extension. But all along, I've htought the defense should do better things for Casey in her better defense but it seems they don't. My feeling is thy then can claim mistrial if the outcome doesn't go their way and prosecution requests the obvious (i..e like the gag order that defense claimed wasn't necessary despite their incessant complaints) so that the defense is airtight and a guilty verdict will stick and defense will lose on appeal.

I have followed this since day one and on WS as well....I feel NO sympathy for Cindy, George or Lee....IM they are in this up to their eyeballs, after reading all the docs and everything, they have out and out LIED to LE. It's amazing, I hope in the end they are charged as well.

What have they lied about? What would you have them charged with? The only one responsible is the mother but the way people are they want to blame the whole family for the crime of one person.

It would probably take less time to cite what they've told the truth about, IMO. Do I think they should be charged? I don't know. I'm sure Cindy, having the luxury of 20/20, has realized how she may have contributed to all this. That doesn't make her culpable in any way, shape, or form for the murder itself, it probably does pile on quite the guilt trip though.

They have been an absolute hindrance to this investigation and everyone knows it. No one wants to charge suffering grandparents and other family members (and I do believe they are suffering), but with this case, they have crossed the line where law enforcement could easily charge them. That doesn't mean they will, but if they don't watch their step, they may find themselves sitting in an Orange County prison cell themselves.

obstruction is one.

they have lied about a lot. The hairbrush given, etc. They lied to the grand jury - the statements they gave to Yuri were different when they went before the grand jury. Cindy lied about sending someone to the remains site. About Casey working, about washing her pants that smelled like the car. If you read on Websleuths, they have everything pretty much nailed down over there.

I am not blaming them for the crime at all. It is what has happened after the fact.

B of A has started foreclosure proceedings. There mortgage payments are only $785 per month! Who loses a house for that? I'd be dancing on the roof if my mortgage was under $1000!!!! ABC and CBS must not pay as much for interviews as was originally thought. Better hurry up with that book deal Cindy.

I'm sure someone will come to their rescue and bail them out for all they've been thru. I find it appalling however that they take a cruise, wine and dine on crab while law enforcement is sifting thru the dirt to try and recover as much bone from Caylee's body as humanly possible, get money for interviews, etc... and haven't made a mortgage payment since May of '09? Only an idiot would give them a dime, IMO.

I found it funny that the it appears they stopped making mortgage payments at the exact time that Lee moved back home to help them with finances. What were they doing?

I'd be dancing on the roof if my RENT was under $1000. I don't know what they are thinking. Didn't they file for bankruptcy at one time too, or am I thinking of someone else?

I am in shock and awe of how people can support this family. If someone steps in and helps them then they are sick also. Her parents may have not known that she was going to kill that innocent child but they know she did it now. I don't feel sorry for any of them. I feel sorry for that poor little girl who had her mouth duct taped and killed. Who does that and I know Caseys parents want to protect her but she KILLED their granddaughter. At some point they have to know that hiding evidence is wrong. Casey should pay for what she has done and if I it were legal I would want her to pay the same way that poor little girl did.
As you can see I feel VERY passonate about this case. My mind can not wrap around a crime like this. As a mother myself it breaks my heart to ground my kids.

DNA eliminated any male relative, the only one to blame for the child's death is the mother. Why do you want her brother to be the father?

The family is being very quiet these days. I cannot wait to see what this secret evidence is. I am so hoping it is a witness/accomplice that has come forward.

the prosectors are finished with the evidence....a doc on file today was "case closed" so this will be delivered to the defense tomorrow and soon available to the public!

And while BOA is sneaky--I don't see how that permits them to sue for being wrongly foreclosed on. It only delays the inevitable. They aren't losing their house b/c of Casey and Caylee. They are losing it b/c they are idiots.

I'm sure the Caylee boat was paid somehow...perhaps with mortgage money as well???
