I guess it makes sense, though, because there really isn’t anything to discuss about this news. Either your happy or angry about this announcement (maybe some are neutral). So I guess with nothing to discuss it simply turns to a debate and gets shutdown.

As someone who has a trip planned starting in 15-days, this is big news. I’m curious as to what effect this policy has on a number of aspects for our trip. So a healthy and civil conversation would be helpful.

I wonder what they will do about the nonrefundable Boo Bash tickets people booked when masks were optional. We managed to get our 2 year old to wear a mask for most of our April trip, so I hope we will be fine for 1 night at MK. We will be outdoors at Ft. Wilderness most of the week.

I'm anxiously awaiting the "here now and just back reports" to see how this new policy is applied. The wording of the announcement is unclear, at least to me, as to whether outdoor rides/queues are included in the policy.

Yeah I’m really hoping some common sense is used with masks actually being indoors only and not all attractions that are outdoors and have long ques outdoors. How is standing shoulder to shoulder for hours, in some cases, waiting for fireworks not worse than being in an outdoor moving que or on an outdoor ride that may last 20 minutes at most (AK safari).
I can tolerate masks in august if they are truly indoors only. I won’t be happy if this nonsense is outdoor ques and attractions too.

I’m pretty sure that “This includes upon entering and throughout all attractions” means all queues regardless of indoor/outdoor. Once you cross the threshold for an attraction entrance, it will be required.

That's how I read it too, but there are lots of people on other threads interpreting it differently (as indoor attractions only). I guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow morning.

Masks were only optional for people who are vaccinated.

My guess is that Disney isn’t going to issue refunds for (re)instituting a policy in favor of public health.

A lot of people say it, but I'm guessing the number of people who actually do it is pretty small. I wouldn't expect them to update cancellation policies. Just my 2 cents.

Are they still being very strict on small children with masks in the resorts? Our son just turned two a few days ago and won’t wear a mask. I’m scared we will get there and won’t hardly be let in. I figure we will skip the parks and just play at the pool and drive to the beach but am worried about when we are walking to our room.

This is a good time for you to set the pace. Wear a mask constantly while you are still at home. Have fun decorating one or two with him.

Currently, all children 2 and over are required to wear masks at the parks and resorts. Given the current state of FL this is truly in the best interest of all.

Masks are not required in outdoor public spaces. They are however required in all attraction queues and on the rides themselves (indoors or outdoors).

No, masks are indoor locations only like restaurants, hotel lobbies, certain queues for rides, public transportation, stores….you get the idea. I suspect some visitors will just wear them all the time for a variety of reasons.

And outdoor queues once you get past the Standby sign. I'd say there's about 85% compliance right now, and I only witnessed one refusal. We were stuck with him in our Skyliner Gondola and he was a jerk. Mr. Purple Toenails, I'm talking about you!
