Anyone just back from Poly?

I'm sorry for being lazy, I just didn't feel like scrolling through so many pages of posts, but has anyone just returned from a stay at the Polynesian? We're due to arrive in just under 30 days, and wondered how the resort looked with the rehabe going on. Are they done in the GCH, and have they started on Capt. Cooks yet? Any infor is greatly appreciated.

We visited a month ago, stayed at Beach Club but hung out at Poly a lot. The main building looks great. The construction in the front part is all done, and downstairs on the left (as you enter) has a great new store with funky Tikis that are great for photos. Captain Cook's looks as it always has; evidently the work there has been postponed a bit. The only area boarded up is in front of Captain Cook's, right downstairs from 'Ohana. This is where Captain Cooks will expand, perhaps.

We did not notice any outer buildings "boarded up" from the pool or beach area. When they do a building it is very discreet, with coordinating paint on the construction fencing around the work area. I do not think any work going on will be very noticeable. We thought everything looked GREAT. When all the new rooms are done we want to do POLY again! Hubby is holding out for those cool TV's...

We just got back on Sept. 3rd and had breakfast at Captain Cooks. We didn't notice any rehab going on at all. Also didn't notice anything in the GCH. I did notice one longhouse with a dumpster under the balcony one afternoon but it was gone the next day. I don't know which one it was. I think it was close to the GCH on the right. We were in Hawaii and never saw anything!!
