I apologize in advance if this type of thread is forbidden... and if it is, feel free to let me know :-)

Anyhoo - we are a DVC family and going down on 12/31. Just in time to activate the DVC discounted PAP exchange Certificate/voucher (I know you can't sell the PAP once activated). Yes, we have DVC cards...and supposedly you simply need the exchange cert and a DVC card to activate.

I was meaning to buy these last year...but missed the cutoff and forgot. So was simply planning on buying 4 new regular AP's when I arrive.

Anyway - if anyone has 4 that they won't be using...and would like to sell them (instead of just applying unused amount to future ticket.) Please post here or PM me :-) Maybe we can work something out!

Thanks!:thumbsup2

They are already assigned to a name. I don't think they are transferable.

Oh?! I read on another thread that there is no name. If you have a voucher and a DVC card you can exchange?

Even if there is no name attached, they are still "non-transferable" under the terms of sale. So you may have trouble finding someone willing to make a deal.

The thing is just because some CMs at the Ticket Window might be willing do this, does not mean it is acceptable to Member Services.

If you ask them their answer will probably differ from what was shared.

It is possible they will offer this again this year.

don't think so - with the voucher it would be 2015 before they might offer them again.

think it really was a one time only offer.

At the end of the day, it's just a guess at this point because nobody really knows if the offer will be repeated this year or not. Everything posted in multiple threads on this board regarding this is merely speculation at this point.

Don't bet against Sammie too quickly. There are folks around here that have pretty good inside sources and he's usually right more than he's wrong. ;)

I can second it that there is no one assigned to a voucher. I purchased a voucher for my DH since his AP expired in July. When I purchased it, it didn't ask me who was going to be on this pass. If he didn't activate it in October, we were just going to fly down for a short trip in December and I was going to activate it since my AP expires in January. Looks like my DH will use it in October now, but until then, there was no "assigned" name to it. The same for my DD when she purchased 4 of them and she activated them in May. It just say 4 PAP and there were no names assigned to them until she activated them. Now I don't know if they would ask for the credit card used to purchase it -- that would be an issue.

They could use the CC to look up the purchase if you don't have the will call confirmation number with you. Other than that, it shouldn't be needed if you have the confirmation number or plastic exchange certificates (aka vouchers).
