Hey folks don't know if any of you are interested in buying a new camper but I found a fantastic deal!!! Max Lite by Trail Lite was built for FEMA but they didn't win the entire bid and built too many. I found a red tag special for a 29ft. Bunkhouse (lite 4700 dry weight) for only 10990.00!!! Its not fancy and I paid an extra 1k for an awning to be added but I already love it and don't pick it up until tomorrow. Its priced only a tiny bit more than a good popup and its light enough to be pulled by a 1/2 ton pick up!!! Pass the word along..and if interested you can look at them ...Berryland campers Outlet...they have a few stores but I went to Holden La. to choose mine.I'm not sure if all their stores are in La. but its certainly worth the drive at the savings. That same size camper in a light other places was well over 20K!!! :cheer2: I have a pic I"m going to try to post when I get back from picking it up...they had a sign post that said Fort Wilderness 651 miles!...I'm going back in Oct, with the new one!! Yippieeeeeeeee

Good for you, that really sounds great, and you will be suprised how you can fix up your tt to look just as fancy as you want..I payed more than that for my used 2000 tt. You got a good deal. :cheer2:

Sounds like a good deal! One question for you, most FEMA trailers do not have holding tanks(fresh, grey or black water), does that price include having them installed?

I didn't even look for holding tanks since I've never worried about having to use one on my old one but once or twice...guess I'll find out tomorrow...if not I may be sorry huh?....or know that I need a chemical toliet if I plan to stay anywhere we might need an alternative...He said the only difference in them was no oven which I don't use in my present TT and a built in stereo which I'll miss but my tv plays cds as well as dvd so I'm ok for music...thanks for calling that to my attention and I'll get back to you on that one!

Did you bring home your new "baby" yet??? We need pictures! Did you spend all day just sitting in it pretending to be camping(I probably would have)?

I have pics of the outside but haven't gotten time to put them in yet as I'm still trying to unpack...I live on the road for work so I'm already living in it lol..I woke up yesterday and said WOW about 4 times before I got out of bed lol...Its WONDERFUL...and yes it has the holding tanks for everything....no worries its all good...I'm in love with it already...it's soo much nicer than the one I'm getting rid of!! :cheer2:

Great to hear that your enjoying it!!!:thumbsup2 Have fun with "dressing it up".:cool1:

Wow, that is a really nice tt for the money, I see you don't have an oven, beleive it or not I never ever use mine I wish I had the storage instead, I always just store food in there :) . You can really dress this tt up beautiful, I love it...if I didn't already have one I would be looking this place up.

I did the tour too. That is a nice unit for the money. I'm looking at the Cherokee Lite 28 A PLUS model and it's very similar to this one. Maybe I should just get this lol. At any rate you got a nice unit and I think you will be happy with the fiberglass outside.

thanks for the replies ! I'm quiet happy with it.I just put up my Mickey Flag "A Pirates Life for Me". I'm a traveling therapist working on the Ms. Gulf Coast where Katrina Hit....its my home away from home...planning on bringing lots of my Dis Stuff from home next trip there...Fort Wilderness Bound in Oct.!!!:hippie:  pirate: :flower3:

I really love tent camping at the fort but for that price I may be a convert. My parents just retired so I'm considering going in half with them and I can use it for my yearly vacations and they can use it the rest of the year.

Just curious but anyone know how much one of these units would cost normally? I'm guessing around $22,000?

P.S. Anyone know if you can fit a 29 ft in the 2000 loop partial hookups? I know last time I was there someone had a HUGE RV in one so I assume it wouldn't be a problem.

I'm sure the 29' would fit in the partial hookup but then you would have to go by the dumping station on the way out...nice to not have to do that if you are planning a long day on the road or a day in the park with it in the overflow until you are ready to leave...full hookup isn't that much more. And I checked campers in many locations before finding that deal and many were over 20K for a lite version and that length!!Not having an oven was no problem for me...I only used my other one 2 times in 3 years. I use a tosater oven almost daily for toasting and re warming left overs I don't want to pop in microwave.I love it more everyday...its got 4 vents in roof that make it cheery and bright...the open floor plan is great too...no need for a slide in this one. My friend has a unit similar with a slide and has very little difference in room floor wise...but he does have a bit more storage..I'm going to decorate it this next week with my Disney stuff then I'll send pics.:hippie:

Sinclare if you do you homework, you should be able to get a deal on a unit. They say if you get it for 25% off the msrp then you did good. Any less and you did better. The payment depends on how long you finance. I looked at 10years on mine then asked the girl to do 5 and the payment wasn't much higher so I went with 5 years. My payment is $385 a month on a 22' tt but it's going to be paid for sooner and hopefully still be worth a dime or 2 when it's paid for. I use mine for a race here and there and also my daughter shows horses in Daytona and they have hookups as well so we save on hotels. For that matter I haven't stayed in a hotel since 04 when I got my first TT. I do when I am out working but whenever we make plans we look for a campground close by. Why pay somebody to stay in a room to sleep when I have a mobile hotel room lol.

IMO the rv market is saturated with units and I think dealers are making deals if you push hard enough. There are so many dealers around so if you don't like the deal they offer walk out. I did and they called me before I got home and knocked 3k off.
