Anyone interested in a Univ-Con?

Since MsDisney and MIB999999 are planning on getting married this summer, perhaps we can have a Univ-Con around the time when they do. It'll probably be a Friday to Monday "Con." There won't be any hotel discounts or such, but we can have our own events, like the MIB shoot-off, Hulk marathon ride, and other things. We can even do an exculsive VIP tour if enough people are interested to split the bill (I think it costs $1800+ for the group).

Who would be interested?

I think it would be lots of fun. It just depends when (timimng is everything for me), and the logistics of my life. Altough the summer would be good as far as the kids go, no school. Alright, so now it will just depend on finances! I'm there if I can swing it!!!!!

I think we can get 45% off the VIP tour with my AP, so the total cost will be around $1000+. That comes out to around $67 a person.

In the summer it would be a major plus. I usually HATE Orlando in the summertime but I would be there with BELLS on for this! (wedding bells??? )

I PM'ed MsDisney and they were thinking of either June 7 or June 14, but nothing is set in stone yet. I don't know (for those that have kids) when your kids will be out of school.

I e-mailed Universal about the VIP tours and here's what I got:

Hi Barry - Thanks for your interest in the VIP Tour Experience at Universal Orlando! The regular price for an exclusive tour is $1700 + tax for a group of up to 15 people. We do not offer a Florida Resident discount on VIP Tours, but we do offer a discount to Annual passholders. If you are a passholder, the price for the exclusive tour is $1530 + tax. This price is for an 8 hour tour of either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure where you will receive front of the line access into the attractions of your choice.

The only other Exclusive tour packages we offer are a 1 Day/ 2 Park tour or a 2 Day/2 Park tour. The
1 Day/2Park is if you would like to do both parks in 1 day for 8 hours. The Annual passholder price for this tour is $2520. The 2day/2 Park is the premier package with 2 eight hour days in both parks. The Annual Passholder price is $2700. All of these tours also include free ponchos (for rain or water rides), complimentary coffee and water upon check in, and a free medium drink during your tour!


I could probably get our favorite VIP tour guide, or at least tip her off that we're coming. Actually, I got her for HHN and she was excellent. I even wrote a compliment letter! Shh...don't tell her I did so! Let's keep it a secret.
