thanks carys.
Here is a cake that kept me up all night making all the little balls for the boarder. You can't really tell from the picture but it had a tail coming out of the back of the bottom tier. This is the biggest cake I've made and it was pretty heavy.

I bet those balls took forever. I did a cake with a ball border (not nearly as many as those) and I was so sick of balls by the time I was done. If I had to roll another ball I was going to strangle something. It is super cute!
Those little balls are really cute, the red bottom tier with the simple yellow buttons is what sets off the whole cake for me though![]()

Just a little 8" whipped up for a charity raffle at DH's work. A gal there has a tumor so they're having a fundraiser for her.
Lisa, do you have an airbrush? The color on that cake is very smooth.
Airbrush is my next big purchase. I'm really anxious to play around and learn to wield its power.![]()
here are some cakes from this weekend, all baby shower cakes

These cakes are gorgeous!!!
I can't remember if I've posted this before - my friend Anne left advertising to start a full-time career as a pastry chef, focusing on cakes. Her business has really taken off huge in the last couple of years. I love surfing over to her site and checking out the cakes from time to time. http://www.pinkcakebox.com/
This is my current favorite one ... it changes a lot!:
