Hey - just wondering if it's been a busy week. I know some spring breaks started this week, so just curious how busy it is. We'll be going next week and I am a little anxious about the crowds.... :scared1:

We were going to go back today but not sure yet. We went wednesday and it wasn't terrible. Big rides were min of 60 mins, nemo was 60 mins, dumbo 45-60 mins etc. But lines seemed to move quickly and people were friendly. Next week will be more crowded. Just get there early and make sure to use fastpass. We rarely us FPs but did wednesday and never had a wait longer than 25 mins for anything. Hope you guys enjoy your trip!

Not to scare you, but see these recent threads:

It is always busy at spring break, however, so just arm yourself with the advice from DISboards and you'll be starting out ahead of the pack.

Okay - you've officially freaked me out!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

But, I do feel some security in having an early morning, Ridemax and using the Fastpass system. My daughter will not like most of the popular rides either, so we'll probably try to do a rider switch on some, too.

I anticipate that the only long lines we'll do is Nemo Subs and Toy Story Mania - although, I could see my daughter wanting to do some of the popular kiddy rides in Fantasyland again!

Out of curiousity, does DCA get as busy as DL? Seems like I hear crowd horror stories for DL only (only a few rides get really long lines as DCA)? Any thoughts on this?

I've read that the Indiana Jones ride was down for a period of time (Wednesday, I think), and this does not seem to be rare occurrence.

I personally know that the Matterhorn Bobsleds broke down Wednesday:

noo no need to be freaked out... it's just spring break. take advantage of FP....

DCA can get busy like DL,i mean GRR if it's hot will have quite a hefty wait..

We were there from Sunday thru early afternoon on Wednesday. Even with all my Disney know how we only averaged 6-8 attractions a day and only rode most of our typical "daily" rides once each during the trip. Granted, we took a midday break each day and did a table service meal on each of the first 3 days. But, I consider myself pretty skilled at knowing what to ride and when, but the crowds were extremely heavy and lines were long. So, not to scare you, but it will be busy, busy, busy from open to close.

Did anyone do an Early Entry/Magic Morning this week (on Tue or Thu)? All the talk of busy days at DL were for Mon and Wed this week. I am curious to see if early entry was equally crazy.

Last time we went to DL 15 years ago, we were able to all the rides (and a few twice) in Fantasyland for MM around this same time of year. Something tells me those days are long gone...

Anyway, Ridemax doesn't do any predictions for Magic Morning, so I would like to get an idea of when I should be lining up on Tuesday the 22nd and how long the waits will be when we get to Peter Pan, Dumbo, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Ok I am freaked with you however I had no problem with any of my AD's and the last one was made 2weeks ago (Plaza for a late bfast). We are staying at VGC and wonder if its better to get early start at CA or MM at at DL? Yikes! What is Ridemax?

Interested to hear from someone that did a MM this week, Normally we can do all of Fantasyland in that hour...but when we were there at Christmas we did 1 ride. Yes I said one it was Dumbo. exited the ride at 805am MM was over.

Splash is down, and there are usually 6 gazillion people in that line, which might be one reason why it seems so much more crowded this spring break...

We're headed to DL tomorrow and staying till Sunday. I hope it's not as bad as it looks.:scared1:

Wow, according to the Dis poll most people here are on spring break the 21st-25th. With 87 people on break that week while only 65 this week. That's a difference of 35%! :scared1:

Busy or not it's still a great place to be.

its crowded but its not busy... Thurs, @ around 2:30, Space was only 60 mins wait...

CROWDED but not BUSY. Wonder why?

And when you say CROWDED, does that mean you cannot walk without wall to wall people (like, say for instance, at a popular professional baseball or hockey game)? CROWDS are so hard to guage, as each individual uses the word differently. Much easier to measure by ride wait. Wish they published wait times!!!

They kind of do. mobile magic, though it doesn't lists waits online by how many minutes. Just a sort of low, medium, or high.

We have been here Wednesday through today, Saturday. We thought Wednesday was the best day for people so far. It has been busy, really busy. We have used Fastpasses as much as possible and would never ride a ride like Indiana without one. The wait was 75 min at one point yesterday. We attempted MM Thursday thinking the crowd would be less than on Saturday morning. Nope. The line for Peter Pan reached the castle gate! No thanks. We waited an hour for Alice and then booked it out of Fantasyland. I would have rather slept and waited an hour later in the day but oh well. With all that being said, we did get a good view of Fantasmic in the standing area by getting there at 8pm even with the crowds. And we got on Pirates yesterday pretty quickly,45 min on it's 44th Anniversary. They had those boats lined up zipping through. While walking through the parks yesterday we were hoping for rain today so many of the people would go away! We expected Saturday to be busy and knew we were coming Spring Break but it seemed extremely crowded in our books. We heard someone say it seemed busier than some days in the summer.
With all that said, we still had fun, just plan for long lines and getting on fewer rides.

Amy

Uggh, we arrive tomorrow and I am not looking forward to a rain filled week...I know it may lessen the crowds but still would love to have some pool time. How is the weather today??

We just got back this morning from spending a week in DL. It was ridiculously crowded and busy! It was the most crowded I have ever seen it and we have only ever gone during peak season (we have been in July and August only) I will never go in the first week of spring break ever again! It was a blast but the crowds were crazy!

We lined up for Tangled (which opens at 11) at 10:20 and stood in line for a little over an hour to see her. They actually closed off the line because the wait was over 90 min. I asked the cast member about the crowds and he said the first week of spring break is the absolute most crowded week of the year, it was insane!
