Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

Tell us about it. Must of been some paperwork with it.

It came with a personalized book. It had our reservation #, and info about our resort and all about MyMagic+. The flashdrive looks like a the Mickey readers in the park and when you plug it in it lights up. Really cute. Doesn't have any info, just takes you to the website and the training video starts playing.
We have 2 reservations 12/30-1/7 and we added a day so we have a different number for 1/7-1/8. This making only has the 2nd reservation #. For the 1st reservation we got a letter to test MM+ .
I'm guessing this is how they will tell people about MM+. I heard 1/5 is the date for phasing out regular FP, so maybe a full roll out is around this time.

Uh Oh--we are all going to want one of these ( or be wondering why we didn't get one) !

That sounds neat. I bet you're right and it will be for reservations for people starting in January when this is supposed to be rolled out. I doubt any of us December folks will get them. It sounds like it ties in to the theme of the Incredibles training video that is on the website. Neat.:)

I apologize if this question has been asked/answered already but I don't have time to look through 100's of pages of questions.

So I booked my FP reservations for my mother and I. We are also bringing my 2 kids who are 2 and under. They both have MB's. It says online I cannot book FP's for them. So does Disney just let them on the rides with us without booking the same FP reservations that we have or should I call and add them onto our FP reservations?

They are allowed to go with you as long as they meet height requirements for the attraction.

I received an email last night stating our MBs were on the way. Sure enough, UPS delivered them this morning. We are arriving on 12/18.

Thanks! I finally found a really old thread from years ago that said the same thing. I was a little nervous they wouldn't be able to get on with us. No coasters or crazy rides for us here anyways ;)

I am sure that this has been asked and answered but I have been randomly reading around and can't find it. We are arriving in Disney on Dec 12 and we have our magic bands and we have made our FP+ plans but does anyone know if we will still be able to get KTTW to use to make FP-? The CM on the phone when I called to straighten out a few MDE problems, assured me that I would still be able to get FP- but I have read that people at POP won't have that option. We are staying at CSR but I am concerned. We have been to WDW many times and I felt confident that introducing my mother in law to the parks would be fine since we were old hands at this but I didn't plan for all these changes. We booked the trip in Sept and then left on a 6 week trip so now I am feeling nervous at having to change our usually style (lots of fast passes and park changes mid day).

There is no way to know at this point. Disney didn't formally announce this change at Pop.. they just took them away. Phone CM's are giving out the wrong info left and right. Pop is not being issued cards that can pull legacy fastpass and the person on this board who informed us of this change (with an internal memo) has said it is not a test, but the new normal. It is thought other resorts will follow. Which ones and when is anybodies guess at this point but it's a wait and see game right now. I know I am just going for our trip on the 13th expecting not to have KTTW cards capable of pulling fastpass-. If I do get them great.. but I am planning as though I won't.

Thanks Pigletto.

That was how I was reading the situation and I was hoping I was wrong. :(

I am also planning as if KTTW aren't going to happen (but I am hoping for a pleasant surprise).

I was going with the same approach too - assuming I won't get KTTW and will be pleasantly surprised if I do!:thumbsup2

Just one question that has only just come to me, if I may?!...

We are collecting Annual Passes for the first time - how do they effect things since the arrival of Magic Bands?

We will be checking in to BLT on 12/30 in the afternoon &then hoping to go straight to the MK (crowds permitting!;))

Will I get a magic band with annual pass already on from BLT (or contemporary?)

Will I still need to go to Guest Services at the MK entrance to get the 'proper' annual passes?

Many thanks for any advice:thumbsup2

Have you customized your MagicBands yet? You don't need to buy tickets in order to get MB's, you only need to have a resort reservation. If you order your MagicBand ahead of time then you can pick the colors that you want. If you wait until you check into the resort, you will all get grey MB's.

You have to go to Guest Services at a park or DTD in order to get your Annual Passes. They will be able to link your AP's to your MB accounts. I think you get an actual RFID Annual Pass as well as having the pass linked to your MB account.

Haven't been able to get FP+ yet for a trip Jan 28-Feb 6, our TA, Jill from Small World Vacations said I will have to wait to within 30 days of arrival to book FP+ on MDE. Is that correct? I like to get things scheduled as early as possible. ;)

60 days, not 30.

At this point, I would assume more and more resorts are going to come online with what POP did. I think they will. My opinion is that all resorts will be doing this by Christmas.

Agreed. I am actually surprised they haven't added more already, but I do think it's coming.

Well today is the first day, I think, since that advisory that Hub posted ended. So I would expect a new one coming out shortly. ::yes::
