Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

We arrive on Dec. 8th and I received the invite through MDE on October 18th. It said I have until November 7th to customize. Then I just received an invite in the mail telling me I have until November 27th to customize. :confused3 I think they got the date wrong on the mail invite or something?

That has been my experience too. I have two invites due to two hotels on our trip. My first stay begins on 11/30 and I have received my bands already. The email and hard copy invite still says I have until 11/20 to customize.

My second stay begins on 12/6 and I just got my hard copy invite for that one. Same scenario. Go by the date on the MDE site. It is the only accurate date.

It's a quirky glitch... But from those who have had the same issue- it sounds like, so long as they are reflected correctly when you go into your day (as if to change your FP selections- then it is correct in the master system and will work for your designated return time. Good idea to write them down and not rely on MDE to have proper list or times of your FP choices! But your MB should be correct

Got my Mb invite in mail yesterday but made fp and Mb selections a few weeks a go. Today I received my ME packet. We leave in 35 days. Can not wait:cool1: now I hope we can get rp for bog lunch.

Same here! Made FP+ selections and customized my bands a few weeks ago but just got the invite through email last week :confused3

But our FP+ selections are still there as well as our customized MB so I guess everything is fine. I'm just paranoid and check to be sure they are still there every few hours :rotfl:
 

Just so both of you know - DVC is open on the weekends. I think Sunday hours are 9am - 5 or 6pm EST. Also, if you are on rented points I don't think DVC will talk to you about the reservation because you are not the member. The member you rented from will have to call if any changes need to be made to the reservation.

Not sure if the problems you are having are because you have a linked reservation or something else but should not have anything to do with having rented points. If the reservation shows up under your MDE account then you should be able to check-in and personalize your MBs. HTH

We rented points through RCI for BWV. I called BWV about a month after renting the points to get our confirmation number. Last month, I tried linking our reservation to MDE so we could choose FP+ and customize MB but it would never link.

I called BWV and explained the situation to them and they switched me to DVC who switched me to RCI. RCI was able to link my reservation without any issue. While BWV did give me a confirmation number back when we first rented the points, MDE required a different confirmation number since the points were rented. The lady at RCI was able to look up that number and link our reservation within less than an hour.

So in our case, the company we rented through was able to help us.

This is a different situation because your rental was a transaction between RCI and DVC and did not involve a member or their points. This might be the same situation for the other posters but if they rented directly from a member then DVC will not talk to them.

I know this from experience. I am a member and I had 6 rooms booked for a wedding in June all under my member number but only one under my name.(So the other 5 were like rentals) I was the only person who could do anything with those reservations and DVC would not talk to the other people. They could not even book ME because it was a DVC reservation on my account, I had to do it for all of them.

I think the first date they give is the day you have to personalize your bands with color and name, and they will ship them to you. I think the second date they gave you was the date you have, if you haven't done already, to personalize/customize your bands with color and name but you will have to pick up at the resort at check in. If you don't do by that second date you will get bands when you check in but they will be grey only and no names. :)

I thought so to, but that is actually not correct. The second date on the email still says to customize by then and confirm your address in order to be sure they ship correctly.

It is purely an error that needs correcting.

Look at your personalize MB main page. It will tell you the date they ship and if they have been personalized completely.

correct. For new bookings within the 30 day window you can still get the bands shipped customized but not within 10 or so days. However, any reservations made further out must have them customized by the 30 day mark and they ship at day 29 or so.
 
If you have customized them before 30 days out, they should ship right after that first cut off date. When I got mine for October, the cut off date was September 26th, they shipped the 27th and I had them the 28th.
 
I didn't realize until we chose avatars that I had two records in there for my dad. On the one record is the lodging for his first night, tickets and all FP+. The second record has his lodging for the remainder of the trip.

Can he just use the 1st MB for the entire trip? Do I need to change the 2nd lodging reservation in MDE? How do I change the people staying in the room? I really don't want to mess with it since we have FP+ for Soarin and TT. I am afraid to change anything for fear we will lose our FP+.

Anyone have any idea about deleting the double record? Is it worth it? Can he use the 1st MB for the whole trip on a split stay?

Still waiting for my status to change. Customization had to be done by November 3rd. Nothing has changed to processing or shipping or anything.
