Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

We're going first 2 weeks of December and only the first part of our stay is onsite and I am able to make fp+'s for the whole trip :)

This is good news. I have a split stay coming up and was hoping to have FP+ during the whole time...

Did any Dec checkins just get the invite letter in the mail too? I received it yesterday. Nothing earth shattering, but it was near to get some fun mail.

We are booked at AK Villas-Kidani for December 4-11. I received my MyMagic+ test invite email last Saturday. Since I already had the MDE account setup, personalized MBs, and booked FP+, it really meant nothing. It was fun to receive, though. The only interesting thing about the email is that it says I have until November 23 to personalize MBs; MDE says I have until November 3. I assume I'm gonna receive MBs shortly after the 3rd. :goodvibes

If I remember correctly I think there was a glitch that allowed some people here to book ahead of time. However in theory it should be that you can't book them until 60 days prior. That's when it opened up for me.

Opened up at exactly 60 days on midnight EST for me.

Thank you both for the reassurance :thumbsup2- can't wait now for my 60 day mark - tomorrow morning!:cool1:

She says that the FP+ for fantasmic is no longer reserved seating only a way to get into the theater a little quicker! Ack! I was hoping to cancel my Dining package and use the FP+ instead.

I was following that thread a bit too ... wondering how necessary FP+ would be for Fantasmic at the beginning of December, if you're not getting a reserved section.
Anyone have any experience with crowd levels/lines for F! in early December (1st 2 weeks -- *not* near Christmas!)???
:confused3

I am wondering the same thing. :scratchin We have a FP+ for F! the first week of December, the same day we have ressies at Brown Derby, I turned down the F! dinner package because we had a FP+... I'm thinking we might have messed up... :headache:

Yeah -- I had cancelled the dining package for the FP+ and then a couple days ago decided it sounds like the FP+ isn't worth it anymore. Luckily, I was able to grab the one available timeslot for the package at our restaurant of choice (MM), though it isn't as good a time as we had previously.

Unrelated topic -- got the invitation e-mail today!

I'm still waiting for IT to fix my UT ticket linking issue. It's been a month since my first inquiry to them. Blah.

I am hoping for this as well. I only have a couple of park days and want to schedule FP+ to be sure I get to ride a few specific things. However, my brother and his family will be joining me for at least part of my trip and as FL residents will not be staying on site. I don't want to be excluded from pulling regular fastpasses in order to ride with them or have to forego Fastpass + and not get either TSM or Soarin because I won't get to that park until afternoon sometime.

THIS! Im in a constant panic of if I do fastpass+ then I cant get any passes in the park on the same day should I need to do so. We may change our days easily since we arent doing the dining plan and only have a few scheduled reservations. I really hate you can only get 3 a day in the same park.

Yeah! :cheer2: After several phone calls/emails to correctly show all of our theme park tickets & reservations, I've today been able to make all of our Fastpass plus reservations for 30th dec onwards!! I'm so pleased:cheer2:

I'm debating whether or not I should cancel my f! FP+ now... But I don't necessarily want or need any other FP unless VOLM now needs one. Anyone have experience with that yet?

Is anyone having trouble making their December FP+ reservations? We are booked at POR Dec 28 - Jan 4 and have customized our Magic Bands online but when I go to book the FP+ I receive an error saying "FastPass + limit reached." Was just curious if anyone else had experienced this. Guessing we will have to call IT.

People seem to have the most problems booking fp+ reservations when they are close to their 60 day mark. Sometimes by waiting a few days, the situation resolves itself. If you want to wait until tonight, you might have better luck. :) If not, then you can call IT. :)

We had this issue when we made FP+ reservations last Saturday. Funny thing is that we resolved the problem while on hold with IT LOL. So.... we got the same error message which was odd, because we got that message the very first time even though we did not make any other FP+ reservations.

The very first time we got the problem, we resolved by hitting the "back" button and re-submitting, when we did that the very first time, all 5 of us were able to confirm our selections. As a clarification (from memory), the "back" is not your browser "back" but option in the "fastpass not available" page to go back to the selections page - I could be wrong here but if there is no option to revert, then yes, do use your browser "back"

The second and most subsequent times, we would get the error, then hit "back", and upon resubmittal, a differrent subset of our party was disallowed due to "limit reached". Upon repeating this just a few times (2 to 5 times) we were able to successfully schedule all five days.

On one of the tries, we were able to get all 5 booked the very first submittal.

Once booked, we went in and changed the times to what we want. Our stay was Dec 20 through 25 and as of as recently as 2 nights ago, every time slot was available.

This worked for us and maybe it could workfor others (or maybe not!!). Good Luck

If you are staying at a Disney resort they will give you a KTTW card which you can use to retrieve legacy Fastpasses. Best of both worlds right now while testing is still in progress.

Will WDW tickets (which are also in the form of cards) also be able to retrieve FP- In addition to the KTTW cards that they hand out? Or is the information on the tickets redundant with KTTW and therefore you will pick to use either your WDW park ticket cards or KTTW to pull FP- ?

Thanks in advance...

However, you never know when Disney will pull the plug on this ability. We made our FP+ selections for our December trip on the assumption that we would only get the three FP+ a day for one park-if we get a KTTW card, that's great. If not, we're not disappointed.

True, but what I've heard form many different sources and in various forums is that this will continue at least through Jan 5, the new test ending date. I'd predict with 90% certainty that this will be so through Jan 5. After that, who knows but I'd say there's an 80% probability this will continue for resort guests until magicbands are rolled out to non-resort/off-site guests. Disney jcan't just cut off the legacy fastpass system until offsite guests are accommodated and I don't see Disney spending money on any reprogramming of the old fastpass system since it will at some point in time be gotten rid of.

We go 12/14 - 12/21 and just got an email tonight inviting us to be MB testers. Do we need to reserve all our FP+ and finalize ADR's before customizing the MB's? Or will they automatically all link even if we do FP after customizing? Thanks
