Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

Seeing that you supposedly don't have to do on line early check in to get to personalize MB's, do you really think it has any bearing on personalizing MB's, getting FP+'s, etc.?

No text here. Or email (added the email address for notification as well. It would have been cool, oh well. Disney seems to dole out the magic in very selective little spoonfuls.

Made it through online check in today and even though it seems to have no impact on getting the magic bands at least I feel a little excited that I've done something. I got the text too

I usually check things here on my computer because I don't have a smart phone, but DH does and has his MDE account all set up on it. The only issue is that as of right now, our park tickets are only visible on my account. The accounts are linked, and we can see everything else on both - Candelight Processional package, our resort, our check-in information, all of it. Anyone think there will be a problem with DH getting Magic Bands (assuming they're released) if he can't see the tickets on his account?

All you need to get MB's is to have a resort reservation. You only need tickets for fp+. So the park ticket issue shouldn't stop you from getting MB's.

My DH and I both have separate MDE accounts, although I do all the reservations and ticket purchases. We both can see all of our resort reservations, dining reservation, fast pass + reservations, park tickets and MagicBands. He can personalize both of our MB's and edit the fp+ reservations. He can't cancel the dining reservations that I made, but he can see them. The only thing that is not on both of our MDE accounts is the cards. He can only see his and not mine, and vice versa.

By the way, we check in on Nov 30th, which is why we have our MB's and fp+ already.

We have 16 people- 5 reservations. all are linked onto mine. 3 people have their own accounts.- i will not be able to do anything for those 3 people.
And cant cancel it as it will cancel the reservation.
(or so the IT people at disney told me this past week)


what do you see when you go to manage my account?
if you go to my family and friends is he listed on that account? is there a check next to his name

Unfortunately, there is no absolute to such questions because Disney has not said what its plans are for December. But if history is any indication we should be seeing people getting to customize (and receive) MBs later in October. In that case there will be plenty of time for Disney to mail them out, especially for a December 10 check in.

You may want to consider getting your park passes earlier as it will allow you to make FP+ selections earlier. Just a thought....

I check in December 4 and can't wait to do some MB customizing!

So fun to read all the comments. Planning a surprise family trip December 12-18. Bursting with anticipation to see the looks on 4 and 6 year olds faces. It is especially hard to hear our 6 yr old girl talk about how pretty Disney must be at Christmas! Checking in on the ability to select those magic bands every day!

It's back. That's just strange it wouldn't even let me sign into DVC even though I'm a member. I will be printing out the page with all mt reservations on it. It had my name listed with middle name just like that between my first and last name. Then it was fixed so I would say they are doing something.

We are so excited and restless with anticipation. This will be our first trip to Disney during December --- I can't wait to see the lights and decorations. Trying desperately to be patient, I check everyday hoping that today will be the day to make fastpasses and customize magicbands --- but alas, so far nothing.

Our reservation is for December 2nd - 7th at POP Century.

...No one checking in during December has been able to customize MBs yet, or make FP+ reservations.

Except...If you already have magic bands from a prior stay during one of the other testing phases. In that case, those people are allowed to make FP+ reservations AND anyone that checks in Late November where their trip runs over into the first part of December. Those people are allowed to make FP+ as well.

I have seen reports that people with MB from previous stays and AP holders can make FP reservations up to 60 days. Can people with a regular ticket (eg 10 day hopper from UT) reserve FP if the have a previous MB?
