One of the great classic scenes from Lady and the Tramp is when Jim dear says those words " But, remember just for tonight " :goodvibes The little pupply lady sure did not give up. Jim was like lady needs to sleep in her own bed. But lady wanted to sleep with her humans and she just did not give up.

So at last Jim gives in and lets lady sleep with them. But he says " But, remember just for tonight " Then the next scene shows lady not as a puppy but as an adult still sleeping in the bed with her humans. So much for what Jim said when he said " just for tonight " :goodvibes

Anyways I always thought that was just so cute :goodvibes I was also curious if anyone can Identify with Jim dear by saying something like " just for tonight " when talking about their pet or pets, but it turned out it was not just for that night lol > Anyways I would love to hear some cute stories :goodvibes

At first, we had a rule. Jules (our dog) was not allowed on the bed or on the furniture. But then, she would climb up on the couch with me while I was watching tv, and she would snuggle against me, and I let it slide.... Then, dh caught me letting her in the bed!!!

"But she's soooo cuuuuute, honey, I can't say no!" I told him.

Needless to say- those rules went out the window.

My dog sleeps with me, as does my cat. I have never even thought about having them sleep somewhere else. I like having them there. :goodvibes

The cat I can deal with in bed, but my 70lb dog, that's another story!! She's only allowed to sleep with me while dh isn't home; otherwise there just isn't a bed big enough.

Well our sweet dog is the biggest wussie on the planet. So he sleeps under our bed. He never did seem to want to get in it, maybe that is because DH snores so loudly. Smart dog. He is afraid of thunder, hail, heavy rain, anything that makes sudden noises. And of course it all started with a 'just this one time'.

If I sit down he tries to climb on my lap. Only he is not a lap dog, he is a medium sized dog. It is pretty funny to see him sitting on my lap. The older he gets the more he does this.

I love that scene in L &t T too. Such a sweet movie.

Flowerschild, your screne name also always reminds me of one of my all time favorite DIsney lines "You can call me flower, if you want to." I love that line.

My dog is only 15 lbs, so he is not much of a problem.

My 50LB furbaby (Chinese shar pei) sneaks on our beds when we're not home. We hear the thud of his jump to the floor when he hears us return. Then we find the warm spot and crease right by our pillows.

Sounds like me and my dh except dh doesn't doesn't like our dogs on the furniture. My dog will jump up with me when he isn't home or is in another room. Then jump off when he hears him coming. Once in awhile the dog is surprised by dh's entering of the room and he hides behind my back. It is so cute but drives dh crazy.

I wish my dog would sleep in my bed....but he's too chicken to get up on it :rolleyes2 . My DH works nights, so the company would be nice, but he does sleep on the floor next to me. He also gets on the couch, and believe it or not, we had to work hard to get him to do that! Now we can't get himm off of it....if there is no room for him, he stands there looking at you with big sad eyes until we make room. And he needs a LOT of room...he's an 85 lb. Greyhound and when they tell you that for their size they can curl into a small space....sometimes true...but not my baby! He likes to s-p-r-e-a-d o-u-t :rotfl:

Sounds like my 5 year old daughter.

I was going to say the same thing (except my daughter is 22 months). My DH works 3rd shift every other week, so one night I brought her in bed with me because she was sick, and now I do it at least once every week that he works.

It's more for me to have extra bonding time with her, not because she asks to be there!

Dd is getting Lady and The Tramp in her Easter basket tomorrow. :goodvibes

Our dog is weird. She will not sleep in anyone's bedroom. She likes to sleep in the livingroom, by herself. We even moved her doggie bed in the livingroom because it didn't make any sense to keep it in our bedroom if she wouldn't use it there.

She is a rescued dog and I wonder where she used to sleep in her life before she came to us. I think she must have always slept by herself. :worried:

I love our dog! :goodvibes

Flower looks so cute and shy when he says that  Flower is talking to Thumper when he says " Oh, that's allright. He can call me a Flower if he want's to. I don't mind. " > I am FlowersChild so you can call me a Flower if you want to I don't mind  I am shy and cute like Flower the Skunk

FC, Lady & The Tramp is my all time favorite Disney movie! :) I think all pet owners can remember thinking, in the beginning, we were going to show our pets who's boss! ;) Of course we know what happens! :teeth:

TC :cool1:

Our Lhasa won't just sleep on our bed -- she has to lay in between my calves. Every now and then our cat, Porkfat, lays on the other side of me and I'm completely trapped between the cat, the dog and DH, sorta like burrito. :confused3

The dog I can move, but the cat and DH -- TOTAL DEAD WEIGHT. I can kick and kick and kick and all I'll hear is a soft "mrrrow" (from the cat, not DH!) and she'll dig her claws into my leg. I sleep well at night, folks.
