anyone here picked to ride mission space yet???

i was wondering...has anyone on the boards been picked to ride misssion space yet...if so, what is your opinion of the attraction...
i was really hoping that it would be open for our trip in june/july but i guess we will just have to wait until december...
so...anyone been in space yet????

I would love to hear about this too, but it is such a big thing that I am sure someone would have shared their experieinces already if they had. We'll wait and see though

If the attraction has been turned over from WDI to park operations yet, this must have happened very recently. While the ride is under WDI control, there is virtually no way that a regular guest would get to ride it.

There was a review quoted from some magazine or newspaper on the News and Rumors board, which was very, very positive.

My friend is a CM and they haven't let them ride yet, but as soon as they do, I will give a full report!

When exactly is the official opening? I thought it was to be up and running this Spring. I am going mid-November...please tell me it will be operational by then???!!!

Mixed emotions here:

YAY . . . it will be open for our trip!!!!!

UGH . . probably much larger crowds . . . . . .

Surely this will be a FastPass attraction.

it'll have FastPass as well as a Single Rider line to keep waits reasonable.

I've seen this term used alot for Mission Space, but never seen it defined. Anyone know what this means in terms of being able to ride it prior to the official opening in October?

During a soft opening, the ride operates intermittently for guests who are in the park. It is not advertised, and they may close it down at any time for whatever reason.

We know 2 Epcot CM's who rode it last week. Obviously they couldn't reveal very much to us , but did say that "if you like rides you'll like it."

There is some sort of exhibit after the main ride where you can send an e-postcard of yourself - that's how they sent us the note.

One CM said that it wasn't what she expected and wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but it didn't seem to be a negative statement though.

Hey, I smell a trend here... my FL resident seasonal pass is blacked out for the summer & becomes active again on Aug, 15! Maybe they'll do a preview event for us! Cool, I'm making reservations now...
