Anyone here from Austin, TX?

My friend and I are here now and we are looking for a good restaurant that does like a late breakfast or brunch in the downtown area. When we ask the guy at the front desk about food inthe area, he suggests Applebee's, Chili's etc. We prefer something that we can't get back home.

Try Threadgill's. It is in the downtown area, not far from the Radisson hotel on the river. I don't know the address, but your hotel can tell you how to get there. There is another Threadgill's further away from downtown, but you should be able to get to the downtown one easily enough.

I'm from Waco, too...........and when we head to Austin we have to hit Freebirds for incredible burritos. They are delish! There is also the Mongolian Grill by the convention center. Yummy!

Mr. Natural (1901 E. Cesar Chavez @ Chicon, 512-477-5228) • 9am-7pm Mon.-Sat.

Mexican. A completely vegetarian diner & bakery, specializing in authentic Mexican foods. (The owners used to run a vegetarian restaurant in Mexico.) All the baked goods are vegan (except for honey). Mr. Natural serves a number of distinctive beverages, including Horchata, juices, and smoothies made with seasonal fruits. The food is imaginative and delicious. My favorite restaurant in Austin.
