anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

hey mom0299- you and me have very similar stats- set out in Jan. to lose 25lbs. Lost 10-11 pounds in six weeks and have been teetering at the 12 pound point since March. After 3 weeks of being good and seeing no loss I got discouraged and have been letting myself make bad choices. I had a loss today - the first loss in several weeks (not counting losses that made up for gains of the prior week) I think it re-motivated me. I am doing great today. I hope you get back into the groove quickly.:thumbsup2
 
- For some reason- the scale keeps going down now. It was so stubborn for 2 months and now three pound in the last 2 weeks. Truth is, I wasn't even trying that hard for the past 3 weeks or so. I guess the lesson is- when you hit that platteau (and trust me- you will hit it) DON'T GIVE UP!

I had many days where I went way off course but I promised myself I would not give up. I did that before with WW- lost 14 pounds in 2 months and then no results for the next 2 months- I gave up and gained it all back plus 3 more pounds for good measure! That was about 2 years ago. I notice the older I get- the harder it is to lose weight- so I need to address this extra weight now- the longer I wait - the harder it will be.

I am reinvigorated now- I must be really good for the next 6 days- as I am going to WDW and doing the ddp (only 3 days of that, thank goodness) I am expecting a gain when I get back- but I will try to strike a balance between being sensible and enjoying some good food. My main goal is to watch my potions and stop eating when I feel satisfied. I am definately having some treats though! I am not counting points or stressting out about food on my trip.

Congrats on the losses ladies! I'm up .50 lb...hoping its muscle :goodvibes. I've added more exercises w/weights to my routine. One can hope :).

I'll post more later...I have to go get DD2 out of her crib.

I need well wishes today- I have to make a big batch of fudge brownies for teacher appreciation week. Brownie batter is a weakness of mine. Somehow I can manage to not eat the brownies themselves- but oh, the batter, it is just so good.

Also- I need a new bathing suit for our WDW trip next week. Making brownies and bathing suit shopping - of yeah- and the arrival of T.O.M. all in one day. Wish me luck!

WOW :eek: ,I wish you good luck. You can do it! Today is brownie day at our house. Wednesdays are not "fun" days at school for my DS7 so we decided to make it brownie day so that he has something fun to look forward to. Oh - the bathing suit dilemma - I hope you have some half decent stores around. I had to order my through Lands End and I love it. I just couldn't find anything around here.

We leave to WDW next week as well..on Saturday May 12th & we're staying at the VWL. I hope you have a great vacation!

ThanksJ&JSMOM- well, I gave myself a treat yesterday-

NO- I didn't touch the brownies!- I excused myself from swimsuit shopping.

I will just wear a swimsuit from last year, I will save money and avoid all that dressing room agony! It is actually a strategic move- I know that swimsuit shopping is terrible- I felt that way even when I weighed 118 pounds- If I go in there and have to look at myself half naked in a 3 way mirror I will get depressed and it may even spur some bad eating- so I am a consciencious objector to bathing suit shopping, at least for now.

I am doing really well with my plan, walking 3 miles every other day, eating right. I feel really good- I hope my trip doesn't throw me off course too much.

I am leaving in a few hours for WDW! Very excited. I just updated my weight ticker - I was up one pound this morning. Even though it is not my official weigh-in day- I wanted to know what I weighed when I left for WDW- and then what I will weigh after 3 days on the ddp. I have to go finish packing and getting the kids ready to go to their Granny and Pop's house!
My 2 oldest (10&11) know we are going to WDW- our baby (4) only knows that Mommy and Daddy are going to Florida. He would FREAK OUT if he knew what we were up to- without him.

They are all getting a trip to wdw for their xmas gift (we will leave a week after xmas) so I don't feel too guilty.

I'm still holdin' steady here...still have those last couple of pounds to go before I hit goal - but considering the JUNK that I ate this weekend, "no change" is a major victory! ;)

We are SO out-of-control busy here with spring activites (ok - sports!) that our meals are no longer on any kind of reasonable schedule. I think if I can just maintain until school ends (late June....) I'm going to be doing o.k. :rolleyes1

I didn't want to do the meetings, because my schedule with college classes, 2 kids that are 3 and 5 with soccer and gymnastics was too much. DH works late alot, so the meetings in the day and at night just didn't seem to work out. Sigh. I decided to try to do this along with DH at home. I feel as long as he's on board I should be able to do it. I can always try to join the meetings if things get really difficult and I need more accountability.

Good to see so many have come a long way on their weight loss journies. Good for you!

I hate to cook, so that's where I fall short. It always helps to make your own good meals then to go out or eat that salt, sugar laden foods.

I have only lost 8 lbs but I am thrilled with that. It is coming off slowly for me. Right now my DH and are facing some tough decisions so I have been stress eating though:rolleyes1

I'm not sure if I posted this or not, if I did, sorry. I had been battling to lose that 1 pound to put me at the half way point. Well finally at last weeks weigh in I did!! I'm half way there! I didn't lose anything this week, but I didn't gain either!!
