anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

i went out today any bought myself 2 new dvds, a cardio windsor pilates and a beginners yoga for weight loss. i'm so excited to try them!

i ended up having a chicken marsala focaccia sandwich at bertucci's and i also had some dessert (it was a late birthday party for myself and another person in my lab). i got the one thing i knew wouldn't be so bad, ice cream bomba (i scooped the ice cream out of the chocolate coating). this past week i've been weighing myself every morning to see what kind of progress i've been making and so far i've lost 3.5 lbs. not too bad for the first week.

i can't wait for spring to come! it's been pretty nice out here temperature wise, but not so much weather wise, too much rain.

This last week was wild. My BIL got married on Saturday and we had things going on every night of the week. We ended the week with rehearsal dinner on Friday and then the wedding and reception on Saturday. By some MIRACLE pixiedust: I lost .4lb. I don't know how in the world that happened. I thought for sure that I would gain especially since I've had two weeks of maintaining. I am back OP today and determined to have a good week this week. (By the way BIL and new SIL are at WDW right now for their Honeymoon, I'm so jealous.)
Remember, nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

Well no loss for me but it was a long weekend. It is a yucky time of the month and my cravings for chocolate and pepsi really kick in. But I am hanging on (by a thread!)

This week wil be better!

Excellent!!! :cool1: Even though you had an unusual week, do you think that maybe you were more aware of what and how much you were eating? :confused3

I was naughty last night :rotfl: We had a surprise 50th birthday party for a dear friend of mine - and I ate Pizza, salad with oily italian dressing (it was pre-dressed :crazy2: ) and Birthday cake :faint: No loss for me, but I maintained. <phew> OH...and that was with my week of eating "extra points" every day (as ordered by the trainer who is running the Biggest Loser Challange at the gym :goodvibes )

I joined Sparkpeople and it is awesome! I have not figured the whole site out yet, but what I did find I loved! And the best part is that it is free. We are on a tight budget because we are trying to buy a house this summer and then going to WDW in Dec so FREE is great!!!

It is similiar to WW online but instead of points it tracks calories.

IF you have some time I would recommend checking it out!:thumbsup2

Hi Everybody- just checking in to say hello. I have had an okay week. I have stayed within my points and eaten all my veggies. I have 2 days to go until weigh-in and I have been checking the scale and I do not think it has hardly budged in 2 weeks :( . I have been feeling kind of blah lately. DH has been travelling more than usual the past few months. Seems like he has been gone as much as he has been here. He leaves again tomorrow- for a tropical "business" trip. Kind of jealous that I am not going- but glad I don't have to wear a bathing suit this weekend- haha- always a silver lining!
Anyway- good luck today, everybody. Keep up the good work!:)

well, according to my scale.... i lost 4 lbs this week. i've still got a long way to go so hopefully i can make it! i think my biggest issue is that i should probably join a gym so i can at least work out a couple of times a week on a treadmill or ellipical machine rather than just at my apartment... the gym is soooo expensive though!

Well I lost 1 of the 2 lbs I gained last week so I guess I'm back on track. DS7 is feeling much better and back to school. DD4 still has an upset tummy but no vomiting etc. DD1 and I still haven't gotten it - so thats great!

This week I'm not doing very well - really not eating much. I guess I'm getting a little depressed - I guess the sooner spring weather arrives the better. This week DH sprung on me about changing our WDW vacation to October instead of May (2 months away!). So I've been working on that - not sure what we'll do. I have everything all planned for May - an ultimate vacation for our kids first trip to Disney. Oh well at least it wouldn't be canceled indefinitely.

Onward and downward!

:wizard: Sending get well and stay well vibes to your family! We can't seem to get rid of the bugs around here. DS3 was sick Sunday-Monday, and I had to bring DD8 home from school early yesterday. They've both got tummy troubles and started running fevers late at night. Don't you just love those viruses? :sad2:

Sorry that you might have to change your trip dates. October, however, is our favorite time to go to WDW. Look at it this way....you're not at the 180 mark for ADRs until next month, so you haven't missed out on those "must-do's" yet. You'll also have the fun (if you're like our family) of planning all over again. :thumbsup2 Hope that everything works out for you all!

I'm down another pound this week. I really was surprised that I didn't post a gain after using EVERY SINGLE ONE of my points last week. I made some really lousy choices, but I'm proud of myself for keeping up the exercise and journaling those bad choices. Small steps...

Thanks for the get well vibes and the same to your family as well. It is so hard w/multiple kids - if one gets it it seems like they all get it.

I've already figured out my 180 day mark - its April 2nd if we switch our vacation. I am concerned w/October and it being hurricane season - my husband thinks I'm nuts! But my sister and my other sister had to cancel vacations during this month - one was going to Florida and the other to the Caribbean somewhere.

My biggest concern right now is taking DS out of school - he'll be in the 3rd grade and from what I've heard 3rd grade is quite a change from 2nd. So I don't want to start out on the wrong foot - my DH has a call into the school to see if Oct is a "good month" to miss one week. It would actually be the first week of Oct and last fall thats when our schools had PTC so we'll see.

Thanks again and hope your family has a speedy recovery! Congrats on the weight loss!

My oldest DD is in 4th grade and I would take her out for a week. I don't personally see a problem with it. And beside, you could turn it into a educational vacation:wizard: I will be pulling out my DDs next year when they are 5th and and Kindergarten.

We went in Sept of 2003 and as we were leaving a hurricane hit. We hauled our butts out of Florida to beat it.:rotfl:

So today I needed to pick up DH unexpectedly. So I was rushing and grabbed a pair of pants that were too small. Just a few weeks ago I couldn't get them buttoned. BUT today I could!!! So now I am kicking myself that I did not take my measurements:laughing: I was a little scared to measure my waist after having 3 kiddos:scared1:

COngrats to the losers!!!Onward and Downward ladies!!!!:wizard:

I have some projects in mind for DS7 to do whether we go in May or October. I'm just afraid 3rd grade will be more difficult for him. Don't get me wrong hes very smart and does great in school but he tends to be a little slow (physically not mentally like in writing papers, etc.) and has difficulty concentrating. I don't see a problem taking kids out of school either - I personally think "real world experiences" are great.

Congrats on the jeans. I know the feeling of not wanting to measure after having 3 kids - its kind of scary. Its "funny" how the body changes after each one. Like I weigh less now then before I was pregnant for the first time BUT I'm not in the same size clothes. After all that stretching its hard to get it to go back the way it was. :rotfl2: I wouldn't change a thing - every roll, every stretch mark and every scar was so worth it!!!

Onward and downward ladies!

I agree with you. All the marks and rolls were worth it. But I wouldn't mind loosing a little;)
We use a reward chart for our 2 DDs and if you get 10 stars you get to go to Baskin Robbins. They both made 10 stars yesterday:scared:
So tomorrow we are headed to B.R.! Wish me luck avoiding those yummy brownie sudaes!

Thanks for the get well vibes! We're off to the doctor's this afternoon, so I'm hoping we'll soon be on the road to recovery.

We took DD out of school in January 2006. At the time she was a 1st grader in the 2nd grade class doing 2nd grade work (long story), and she missed 7 days of school. The teacher was great (big Disney fan herself) and had any needed homework ready for DD before we left town. We also created a journal for her to keep while on the vacation, and she turned this is for part of her schoolwork.

This fall she'll be in the 3rd grade and will miss 4 days since our trip falls over the scheduled fall break here. Our trip was originally scheduled for December with DD missing 7 days of school. We're moving her to a different school now, and since we're not sure how different the curriculum is going to be, we're opting for missing fewer days. I plan on talking to DD's teacher as soon as she's accepted into the school just to make sure we're on the same page with everything.

We're a little concerned with hurricane season, too. We're flying and hoping that everything will work out getting us into Orlando. Once we're there, if we end up being "stranded" for a few days, we can deal with that. Our first October trip was during and uneventful hurricane season, and the second started just about a week after Florida was hit with 3 in a row. We were driving then and had quite an adventure following the detours across Escambia Bay in Pensacola. It was quite an education for our DD.

Hmmm...if the girls need to earn 10 stars to get a trip to B.R.....what about you??? :lmao: No stars, no ice cream!! :rotfl2:

DD is having a sleep-over tomorrow night. We are sending DS to a friend's house and there are seven other girls coming over (eight with my DD). Monday is her 8th birthday. We're planning pizza, cake, and ice cream Friday night and waffles Saturday morning. And then Saturday night our church youth group is having a spaghetti supper and dessert auction to raise money for their summer missions trips. It's going to be difficult to stay in my points range this weekend.

8 girls?!?! You are either brave or crazy!

You can do it - use moderation and enjoy your daughters birthday! princess:

You are brave having that many girls!;) Actually I love when my daughter has friends over. We usually have a good time doing nails or singing karoke:headache: ! Okay they sing, I screech:rotfl:

I am staying mosty on track. Sparkpeople is helping me walk the line. Hopefully I will see a loss on Monday:upsidedow

Good luck and the party!!!

Onward and downward!!!!!:wizard:

Hi everyone!

Sorry that it has been so long since I have checked in with you all, but I really haven't been able to be on-line too much recently and first I have to check the Budget Board and the Host Board and then I usually have to run.

ANYWAY! I wanted to tell you all that things have been going quite well for me with WW. I LOVE using the eTools, and I have found a really great WW leader! It makes going to weigh in so much more pleasurable when you have a good leader.

At my first weigh in last Thursday, I was so pleased to have lost 6.4 pounds! :cool1: Then when I weighed in this week, I had lost 2 pounds, and that is with me having my TOM and having gone to Golden Corral for dinner on Sunday! :cheer2: So including the 2 pounds that I was down before I weighed in the first time (I had started on Monday but weighed in on Thursday) I am down over 10 pounds! I know that that is a lot for a short period of time, but I have a lot to lose, and I know that this will not continue for long. So I will take it while I can get it! ::yes::

I told you all that I would tell you about the class topics so I will. :) Last week, we talked about anchoring. Having something that reminds you of a really good time in your life or when you felt proud of accomplishing something. This object is supposed to help keep you "anchored" to the task at hand and not floating away.

This week's topic was about a ladder - and as you go up the ladder, you are more mentally positive about your weigh loss "task." So the bottom rung was something like "I have no idea what to do" to the top rung saying "I DID it!" So we talked about where we were on the ladder. I said that I was somewhere in the middle.

OK. I think that's it for now. I will try to check back in more frequently. I hope that everyone is doing well. :thumbsup2

Thanks Beth! You may have hit MY nail on the head! I need some anchoring and remembering that ladder! Thank you!!!! :goodvibes

And, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! WEIGH TO GO!!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1: :woohoo:  :yay: :cheer2:
