I have no info on this company but I will NOT purchase anything that requires me to go to a party or where someone shows me a brochure they got at a party. I usually find that the items are overpriced and I don't want to feel obligated to help out the hostess. Ages ago though I did buy Discovery Toys, but through a catalog.---Kathy

I have seen 31 and would like to get a backpack for my daughter, just don't want to pay that much for it. I probably will, though, because they are super cute.

I haven't seen Thirty-one's products but I do have several of the competitions (Initials-inc.) items and really like them. Both companies are new in my area and it is going over well.

Recently had a party and got lots for free. Love my large utility totes, weekend bag and rolling bag and will be using them on our trip to disney in Nov-Dec

I love 31 so much I decided to sell it last year! I have had a great time...I have so many uses for the products...I love the organizing shoulder bag for parks...it's similar to the VB hipster. There is also a Pop Cross body tha is similar, but not my favorite for park use... My thought in selling was a night out of the house (I'm a Homeschooling mom) and vacation money, but DH has had 5 surgeries this years...so it has really helped fill a need for us.
The founder's husband was a Christain pastor, so everyone is correct in saying that it is based on Proverbs 31...but that appealed to me as I am a Christian...but I have seen some "un-Christian" like practices that I have not been pleased with....but I'm sure that's bound to happen with all companies, I can only be sure to uphold my end of the bargin, kwim.
I love the fact that I can get discounts, make money, and still be with my family...I am currently working on building up my team...I have a special for new girls who sing up under me, but I dont think I can post that here

When the Today show did their promo with thirty one where they had a kind of clearance sale and for every bag sold the show donated a toy, I ordered alot of these products for very good prices..naturally, selection was limited to what they wanted to offer, but I got several really nice things for myself and for gifts. I like most of the patterns, and the quality is very nice. I'm using a large bag I bought, the Cindy bag ($20.00) , stuffed with a medium and small packing cube for my upcoming 9 day trip..
My only complaint would be that, considering that their company is Christian based, I would like to have seen them stand above and produce the bags in the US instead of China.

I love my Cindy bag! I used it when I was going to class on campus. That thing could hold a ton of books!!!

I was going to order a crossbody bag until I got an e-mail that Vera Bradley was having a sale a few months ago. No personalization, but I LOVE my new bag.

I used to be a consultant. I love the products, everyone seems to!
I would have kept selling but I didn't put enough time into it and wasn't selling enough to meet the $200 quota, so I had to drop it. I think it's a great company though!!! I might consider picking it back up some time!!!

I don't sell 31, but a few friends have had parties so I have some of their products and have been very happy with everything so far.

I DO sell Scentsy Wickless products, and I actually use the 31 thermal totes to hold my basket party kits because it helps keep the wax samplers from melting when they are in an insulated bag.

A friend had a party... I bought something... and loved it

I decided to do a catalog party...most of the orders were mine...but since I was the hostess, I got all the hostess credit and bonuses which made the average cost of the items I got go WAY down.

and then my friends were commenting on the totes ALL the time, and I realized I really did love the products...

and now that I'm a Consultant...
I can get things for myself for even less
I can help organizations that I'd love to support but just don't have the $ to right now by doing fundraisers with them and donating my commission to them
and I can help my friends save money with the awesome hostess program.

For me, there has to be value in the item, or value in it's purpose.. or it's not a good deal. With Thirty-One I've found both.

I guess there are a bunch of us here, to answer the original question! I too am a consultant. I signed up this summer and have been very impressed with the products and the company.

Their committment to Celebrate/ Encourage/ Reward women is pretty awesome. Apparently when the founder was trying to come up with a name for the company, she and her sister read Proverbs 31 to see if any particular words stood out as a potential name. Cindy told her sister, that really the whole chapter stood out to her. Her sister suggested "Thirty-One".

They are fun, affordable purses, totes and more that are high quality. And it gets me out of the house once in a while for a night with the girls.

I just recently became a consultant. I had always heard of thirty-one but never had been to a party or anything. I got to talking with an old high school friend on facebook and she introduced me to it. I love the Christian base it's built on. I'm doing my 1st online party now. I may not sale a lot but I love the products!

I did a show ions ago and got lots of free stuff. I had sold PC for 11 years and am now working PT at a retailer in addition to working FT. Now that our DD is older (11), I want to get back to something like this, so I did a catalog show - $900! If that had been my show, I would have made a bunch - much more than I make at my PT job in a month.

I searched the boards and came across this and it has really sealed the deal for me that I am going to sign up with the girl I did the Catalog Show with in February. I have a bunch of stuff going on in January so I am going to develop a thank you note for all the people who bought from my catalog show this month before it comes in and put it in your bags. Hopefully they will want to do a catalog or home show.

I'd like to know if everyone is still active in 31? Is it still profitable? Have you seen a decline in sales recently? Any horror stories to share or reasons you wouldn't do it again?

With the current OJ incentive to become a consultant I'm seriously thinking about taking the plunge. Advice? Suggestions? Tips? Answers to FAQs? Etc?

I've been a Consultant for 3 years now. I'm a Senior Director with the company. It is still very profitable for me. I do anywhere from 4-6 shows a month depending on mine and my family's schedule. Before 31, I was a special education teacher. I wouldn't change ANYTHING! I absolutely love the company, my team, and the wonderful hostesses and customers I've met.

If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to answer them.

I will give one tip. If you are thinking about signing up with the OJ Incentive, try to get 4 parties in place before you actually enroll. Besides the OJ to get your $99 back, you are also earning the Startswell which is more free products and biz supplies.

I am also a Thirty One Consultant and I love it! I also work a full time job and these products are so easy to sell, they basically sell them selves. As the previous poster said the are running a promotion to receive your initial Investment of $99 back if you sell $1000 in 30 days. If you have 3-4 parties that is easy to do, plus you get a 25% commission on sales!
