I'm here! I haven't had much DIS time lately. But I do pop in when I can to just relax for a few minutes and read some posts even though I don't have a ton of time to reply.
Its so great being home, but there is so much to do and everything takes a lot of time. We're starting to get a routine down though. Laura has therapy twice a week, plus we have daily home exercises to do that take about an hour. I have to take her blood pressure at home now and she takes medicine five times a day (26 pills total).
We had a horrible day yesterday though. She's been doing so well walking with her walker around the house and hasn't fallen or even started to fall in a long time. Yesterday she almost fell twice but we caught her, and once she did fall like a rock. It happened so fast we were all unprepared. I thought something must be terribly wrong and cried all day. This morning she woke up with a bad cold, her first illness since being released from the hospital. They warned us that her walking ability might be affected when she gets sick so we're thinking that might be why she had the bad day yesterday. Talked to the doctor today about it and they said just to take extra precautions when she walks to make sure she's safe till she gets well. But today her walking seems better and steady again.
